Is This...?

There is this feeling inside me, one that I only get around you

It's safe

It's warm and familiar

How so I do not know

The time I have known you has been short

But a million butterflies swarm inside me at your smile

the way your lips curve upwards

the look in your eyes that you give me

your hands gently placed on my skin

no fear

however

my heart does pound wildly

my breath hitches

my stomach twists

but for all the right reasons

I never thought I would get the opportunity to feel this way

I didn't think I deserved it

I thought myself to broken

and yet with you

there is no one I would rather take life on with

Creator above, am I terrified at this feeling

How easily we slipped into each other lives

so effortlessly as if we always belonged

how frightening but oh how thankful I am
