Emotions unchecked turn into chalk
They scratch and tap
Forming words, while shedding white
They scrape and scratch and still there is black beneath the words

Hands sweep across, picking up the leftovers
They smear the board
And dust their hands

anger trickles from the dust
It spreads like wildfire
The chalk is broken in half
Crushed beneath a glass cup
There is no reason for this to be done

Now the rage overtakes
It spills from underneath the glass

The air is dusted with it, grazing a cheek
It's a disaster, truly
The chalk
What's left of it
Lays broken
Bits of it having exploded

Anger never looked good all clumped together
