Sadness's color

Tears are the color of true sadness

Clear and glistening in the light

Maybe sadness's color is purple like the bags that develop with sobs that overtake someone

Maybe it's pink like the rosiness of cheeks

Or blue like the sky

Or chapped like lips begging for water

But maybe it's just clear

See through
Like my heart

Emptied of love

Void of any red

Or maybe it's black like sorrow

Only those who have met sadness know the true color

And I'm not sure if it's even a color at all
