DAD

He had a round face
A big illuminating smile that had the look of a lopsided grin
He had wrinkles, showing on his forehead and crows feet
His eyes were a medium green with the slightest hint of brown in them and wrapped around in grey
He had a beard that was prickly too the touch
The hairs were graying faster than his disappearing brown almost black hair
He had hands that proved he was a nurse
and his calluses showed the love and adoration he for the stings of his acoustic guitar he strummed every night
He was a true man
He cried when he needed, which was rare,
Laughed regularly and always praised and encouraged others
He was a little on the heavy side
His favorite color was and will always be blue
He smelt like mint
In the end ignoring the darkness that took over, he was a hero, a legend only she would know
A father most of all
