"so who sent you?" she joked as she opened the door. serena figured he must've gotten word of her blow up earlier. it was really late too. he must have just finished their last game against the reds. they apparently won 7-1.
"sent me?" fernando returned comically, as she stepped aside to let him inside. "i sent myself. i just came to see you."
"oh really?" she cooed, placing a kiss on his lips, "so you didn't hear about what happened at the office today?"
"mmm, tom might've mentioned something," he thought.
"i see," serena nodded. she went back to cleaning her dishes as fernando sat down at the kitchen island. contrary to his explanation, she knew he was actually here to make sure she was okay. word within this organization spread like wild fire. she wouldn't even be surprised if there was a video of serena setting aj's ass straight by now.
"so...?" fernando exhaled, tapping his fingers on the granite countertop. he was evidently nervous.
"soo?" the blond repeated back, turning off the sink.
"you aren't leaving us right?" he asked wide-eyed. his biggest fear in the entire world felt like it was gonna become a reality soon.
"what do you mean leaving you?" serena faithfully frowned, coming around the counter so she could sit next to him on a barstool.
"like, quitting?" fernando pursed his lips.
"of course not!" she assured, with a tiny gasp, "i'd be an idiot to leave this place. things just have to change."
"and if they don't?"
"well, i'll always be right here," serena smiled sadly.
