"I'll miss you, Lense." Erik nodded, "But that stays between us. Don't tell anyone," he added sternly. He was always standoffish and no nonsense, but underneath it all he was a bit of a softy.

"I'll miss you too, Erik," Serena giggled lowly, proffesionally shaking his hand. She just finished up her goodbyes with the team, and on her way out she ran into him.

Thank goodness it was him, and not Peter or AJ. That would've been a different story.

Sofia found herself a chair in the hallway to sit on while she waited for her sister to converse with literally every person they saw in the building. For someone who claimed everyone hated her now, she sure did have a lot of people begging for her attention.

"Rena, I'm gonna find a bathroom. I'll meet you outside." Sofia told, in an attempt to get out of there.

"Alright, I'm right behind you!" the younger girl called, finally saying her last goodbye to Erik Greupner and heading down the hall after Sofia.

The pit that was pooling in her stomach from outside out of fear of having to face Fernando was starting to arise again. It had went away for a little while... but now it was back. And that couldn't mean anything good.

She exhaled, exiting the front office and back to the breezy streets of SD. The girl swept her hair behind her ears as a cool shot of air sent her blond strands into disarray.

"Serena," a familiar voice called pleadingly.

The girl turned around slowly, leaning up against the yellow bollards on the sidewalk.

This couldn't be happening. He followed her. Even after not calling for days... or even making an effort to state his case, or beg for forgiveness. Not that it was expected, but most people that care about their relationships do that.

"Serena, I..." Fernando repeated, glimpsing down at his trembling hands. He was unnerved.

She shook her head at him in disbelief. He had the chance to do something. Say something, say anything.
