Beautiful To Me

This one-shot is going to be based off of the song 'Beautiful To Me' by Olly Murs. So, if you want give it a listen. Go do that. If not, well...here's the one-shot.

Derek POV

Time and time again we're going back to the start
And I try and try again to bring some light to the dark
You know every day's a battle and it tears her apart
And I don't know why

The pack and I decided to go on vacation. How I'm not ripping my hair out is shocking. Everyone had been fighting and complaining, except Stiles. My gorgeous, oblivious mate. He looks tired, and I don't blame him. He was the one who planned all this and made sure everything went smoothly until we got here. He told me on the plane he was sleeping the whole vacation away. Of coarse that won't happen.

To get the rest of the pack to shut up we went to the pool. It was hot out and everyone wanted to cool off. We made our way to the outdoor pool and set our stuff down. There were a few other people but for the most part everyone was pack.

The pups had a game of Marco Polo going on with some of the other kids in the pool when Scott came over to me managing to splash more than the 5 year old kicking his feet on the edge. "Is Stiles okay?" He asked. I turned around to see the pale boy sitting on a chair by himself. Frowning I got out of the pool and sat down by him.

"Whats wrong babe?" I asked. He shook his head. "Seriously tell me." I said "I don't want to swim. I want to sleep." I knew he was lying. I sighed handing him the key to our hotel room "go take a nap then instead of baking in the sun." I kissed his cheek. "Okay."

And I'm picking up the pieces when they fall to her feet
She's been fighting off her demons so she'll never be free

And I don't know why

"So are you guna tell me the real reason why you're upset?" I said walking into our room. He was sitting on the bed watching tv. "I told you already." He mumbled. "I know that's a lie." I said sitting in front of him. He sighed "I'm not like you guys." He started. "All muscular and hot." He was trying way to hard to look anywhere but at me. "Babe," I said sympathetically. "No, Derek. Don't even say you understand. You don't. You don't realize how hard it is seeing you guys all the time. You already no I hate the way I look. It just, it hurts sometimes. I don't wanna be the odd one out" he said a tear rolling down his face.

I wiped his face "Love, don't ever change the way you are. You light the sky just like a star. I don't care what you see.You're beautiful to me." I told him. He smiled. "Stop." He leaned in to hug me. "I'll never stop telling you how beautiful you are."

The light breaks through your hair and
They all stop and stare and
I'd go anywhere

Later that night we all went to dinner. It was a nice restaurant so we all got a little dressed up. Stiles said he would meet us in the lobby and since I don't trust the pack being alone for even a minute I went down without him.

When he walked over to us I couldn't help but stare. "What?" He laughed. "You look gorgeous." I said leaning down to kiss him. "Thanks" he blushed. "I love you so much, you know that right?" I said pulling him close. He blushed, I'm not really affectionate when we are near the pack but I don't care anymore. I want the world to know how much he means to me. He nodded "I love you too." He added. "Like soo much." I picked him up and spun hearing him giggle. "You're the cutest little thing ever" I set him down. "Der, shut up." He smiled. "I can't help it. You're so beautiful." I said. The blush on his face just got darker. "Seriously, like on a scale of 1-10 you're like a 20" he laughed "you're such a loser." I smiled "but you love me?" I asked "so much."
