rehearsing Here's your first request. I'm sorry it took me so long to finish!! You're second will be up soon!

"Hey, Der. So, I brought over a couple movies. Figured we cou-" Stiles stopped talking when he noticed that Derek was sitting at the table with his head in his hands. "Der, what's wrong?"

Derek let out a long sigh. "We need to talk."

"Okay?" Stiles said setting his back pack on the floor and sitting down at the table.

The two sat in silence for what felt like an eternity to Stiles. His leg was bouncing, his heart was racing. Derek still hasn't looked up at him.

"Derek please say something." Stiles begged.

Derek finally looked at the younger boy. "You're not in the pack anymore."

"What? Why?"

"Because it's too dangerous and you're human and I don't want you getting hurt."

"What the hell are you talking about Derek?" Stiles snapped. "Did you even talk to the rest of the pack?"

"Yes. They agree with me."

Stiles laughed. "I doubt that."

Derek sat there silently for a minute. "We just don't want you dealing with all the supernatural stuff. You don't need to worry about research or helping plan. You can finally sleep at night."

"Derek, kicking me out of the pack isn't going to help me sleep at night!" Derek rubbed his hand across his face.

"Whatever." Stiles got up and grabbed his stuff.

"Sti, babe, you don't have to leave." Derek said.

Stiles let out a harsh breath. "No, Derek. Fuck you."

"Stiles."

"No. I'm done."

Derek got up following Stiles. "Seriously?"

"Yes! Seriously! If being in the pack is too "dangerous" then so is our relationship."

"That's not true." Derek said sadly. "Stiles, I love you."

Stiles held back his tears. "No. It's too dangerous and you're a werewolf and I don't want to get hurt."

Stiles and Derek had spent the last month ignoring each other. The pack convinced Stiles to rejoin because nobody actually ever wanted him to leave. He wasn't looking forward to seeing Derek in the next few hours for the pack meeting but knew that he had no choice.

He walked into the loft with Scott, not daring to show up by himself, and glared at Derek who was giving him the same look in return.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Derek snapped.

Stiles snorted. "Turns out, nobody actually agreed with you Derek. You're just an asshole."

"You're not part of the pack, Stiles. Get over it."

"Actually, it was you're pack who came to me and wanted me to come back."

Derek rolled his eyes. "You're not welcome here."

Stiles shrugged. "I basically lived here at one point, I bought your groceries, did your fucking laundry, I think you can handle me being in the same room as you for forty-five fucking minutes."
