Kushagra's POV

She sat with her parents. My parents started asking questions about her likes, dislikes, qualifications and what now.

She answered all of them very politely having a small and sweet smile all the time.

While she was speaking to my parents I was looking at her non-stop.

Then finally were sent for the private interview-err-private talk.

She took me to the terrace. We walked silently till the railing.

We stood there silently for some time not knowing what to talk about.

Honestly, it was so awkward.

Wanting to break this awkward tension I cleared my throat and asked.

"Kuch puchna chahti ho toh puchh skti ho."

(You can ask anything if you want to.)

She turned to look at me and said.

"Sab kuch toh puchh lia mumma papa ne."

(Mumma papa asked everything.)

"Phir bhi kuch toh hoga jo tumhe puchhna hoga."

(There must be something you want to ask.)

She bit her thinking for a moment and then asked.

"Aapki koi girlfriend thi kabhi?"

(Did you ever have any girlfriend?)

She closed her eyes immediately regretting asking that and I smile.

I clear my throat trying not to laugh at her cute expressions.

"Nice question!"

"Aapne kaha kuch puchhne toh mujhe yahi sawal yaad aaya."

(You said ask something so I asked the first thing I remembered.)

She mumbled tucking her hair behind her ear and looking down.

I chuckled and she smiled looking at me.

"Nhi. I never had any girlfriend."

(No.)

I confessed honestly.

"You will be the only woman in my life. Agar haan krti ho toh ofcourse."

(If you say yes ofcourse.)

I said and she looked up at me and then smiles shyly.

We stay quite for some time and then she asks.

"Aap iss shaadi se kya expect krte hai?"

(What do you expect from this marriage?)

She was looking at me expectantly as if it was some kind of test and she wanted me to pass.

I smiled and said honestly.

"I don't know. Honestly speaking maine shaadi ke baare mai kabhi socha hi nhi tha. It would sound very cheesy and flirty but its true ki the moment I saw you. I knew what I want. I want a life with you Amaira. I want to be able to call you my family, my wife. Tumhe wo harr cheez dena chahta hu jo tum chahti ho. I want to grow a family with you. I want to love you. Bas badle mai I want your trust, honesty and loyalty towards me."

(I never thought about getting married. I want to give you everything you want. In return...)

I confessed everything looking straight into her eyes. As unbelievable and weird as it seems but I did mean every word that I said.
