Vanya's POV

*8 years later*

I come back from office after a meeting with client.

Huff! Today had been hectic. Back to back three meetings which I personally had to take care because papa and bhaiya both were busy.

When I reach home Kanav is already there and the scene going on melts my heart.

My husband is in the kitchen with our kids and they are making-no-trying to make dinner.

"Aaj hum mumma ko surprise denge. Jab mumma ghar aayengi toh unhe itna saara tasty khaana milega."

(Today we will surprise mumma. When she will return she will see so much tasty food,)

Kanav said in a dramatic baby voice and both our kids yayyed with happiness.

He made them sit on the stools away from the stove and started looking around the kitchen.

I tried to hide my smile because I know this man cannot cook.

He always had a cook for himself.

"Papa hum kya bana rhe hai?"

(Papa what are we making?)

Tanvi, our daughter asked and he looked at her with a nervous smile.

"Mumma ka favourite dish."

(Mumma's favourite.)

"Curry rice!"

She squealed because she also loves curry rice.

"Nhi! Mumma ka favourite dish curry rice nhi hai. Unka favourite dish maggi hai."

(No! Mumma's favourite is not curry rice. Her favourite is maggi.)

He said pinching her cheeks and I couldn't contain my laughter anymore.

He looked at me like a deer caught in headlights.

Our two year old son, Jayant, made grabby hands at me and I picked him in my arms.

"Tum kab aayi?"

(When did you come?)

He asked sheepishly and I gave him an amused smile.

"Jab tumne maggi ko mera favourite dish bana dia."

(When you made maggi my favourite dish.)

I said and burst out laughing and Jayant too laughed with me.

"Seriously Kanav. Agar khaana banana nhi aata toh bachho ko galat toh mat sikhao."

(If you don't know how to cook food atleast don't teach the kids wrong.)

"Mujhe khaana banana aata hai."

(I know how to cook.)

He defended himself and I raised my eyebrow at him.

"Really? Toh aaj ka dinner tum hi banao."

(You only make dinner today.)

He looked at me and gaped.

"Tumhe bhook lagi hogi na. Khaana banane mai der ho jaayegi. Hum order kr lete hai."

(You must be hungry. It would be late to make food. Let's order.)

I chuckle and shake my head.

He smiles sheepishly and order pizzas.

The kids squeal in excitement and I go to change my clothes.
