Bhavya's POV

Mumma woke me up and I got up whining.

I looked at the time. It is 8 already.

I was going to freshen up when she said that someone was going to come for dinner.

I asked her who and she said that she invited the new neighbour.

I go to the kitchen and help her in making dinner.

Just as we set the table, the doorbell rang.

Papa got up and attended the person.

It was the supposed new neighbour.

Honestly, I had expected it to be an old man but boy! I wasn't expecting this.

He was a man of around my age and-

Stop it Bhavya! Tu kabse itni besharam ho gyi?

I avert my eyes from him. He greets mumma and then mumma introduces us.

Our eyes lock and he looks at me without blinking. A smile slowly starts forming on his face and he breaths out.

"Hii."

"Hello."

I say tucking my hair behind my ear.

Papa asks him to sit and he does smiling and eyeing me for a moment.

We too sit down. He is sitting directly in front of me and is stealing glances at me ocassionally.

He compliments mumma for the food and says that she cooks like his mother.

The sparkle in his eyes when he spoke of his mother made me smile.

"Toh tum ghar parivaar se dur yaha kaise?"

(Why are here away from your family?)

Papa asks and his smile falls a little.

"Apne aap ko prove krne ke liye. Papa ko ye prove krne ke liye ki mai unke bina bhi kuch kr skta hu aur mujhe harr jagah unki zarurat nhi hai."

(To prove myself. To prove to my father that I can do a lot on my own and I don't need him everywhere.)

He said very seriously.

Ooo! Seems like someone doesn't like his father much.

Papa smiled slightly and patted his back and he smiled.

Rudra's POV

When I came to Delhi I didn't think that I would get so comfortable with someone so easily.

But this family makes me feel home. It doesn't feel like I just met them.

I look at Bhavya again.

I don't know why I just can't get my eyes off her.

She had her hair in a bun and a few hair strands coming out of it.

She had not applied any makeup like those of my father's friend's daughters.

She had a natural blush.

Aaaand I think I am making her nervous because she constantly tucking her hair behind her ear.

I looked away cursing myself.

After dinner we sit for some time discussing various topics.

Bhavya went to her room after a few minutes and God knows why I felt disappointed.
