" And this is our Common Room. The password changes every two weeks. This weeks password is pure blood." Adrian Pucey told Kai and all the first year Slytherin's.
" Whats a pure blood?" Kai asked raising her hand.
" Something you are not." Adrain told her with a disgusted look.
Kai let her hands dropped down to her sides.
" You know what your not, helpful. Literally, do you feel good about that shit answer you gave me?" Kai asked.

" First years go inside. What's your name again?" Adrian asked as the first years went inside and he walked towards her.
" Kai Romanoff." She told him.
" We'll Romanoff. A pure blood. Is a wizard with all magical blood. None of the previous family members have had children with non magical people. We are descendent of the 28 sacred families." Adrian explained.
" Haven't wizards been around for hundreds of years?" Kai asked.
" Longer." Adrian told her.

" That's doesn't make any sense you can't be fully wizard unless-oh-oh, oh my god ew. Your inbred?" Kai asked grossed out.
" I'm pure. Unlike you mudblood!" Adrian spat.
" Okay, Uhh I'm just gonna go now." Kai walked into the common room.
Adrian watched her walk in and saw her shiver and fake gag. He immediately hated her.

Kai found her dorm and walked in. Inside were already four girls.
" Sup. Guess this is my bed." Kai said walking to the bed with her trunk on it.
The girls who were in a group talking just looked at her.
" Okay, good talk." Kai said opening her trunk.
" You don't belong here." One of the girls said.
" Your telling me sis." Kai nodded.

" I hope you know that non of us like you." She told her.
" Yeah, well lots of people don't like me. So what else is new." Kai shrugged.
" If you don't watch yourself and keep away from us. Will make your life a living hell." She threatened.
Kai audibly laughed this time and shook her head.
" Kid, I was born in hell. I doubt you can do worse then the actual devil." Kai told her referring to the red room.

The girls just looked at each other.
" Alright, any body need the bathroom? No, okay I'll take it then." Kai said walking into the bathroom with her change of clothes.

The golden trio talked the next morning at breakfast about everything that happened last night.
" Hey gang." Kai smiled and sat down next to Harry.
" Hi Kai." Harry smiled back.
" Hello Kai." Hermione said and Ron waved his mouth being full.
" How was last night?" Harry asked.

" Pretty good. I only got threatened once last night. That's a new record." Kai told them.
Harry chuckled but she was being completely serious.
" Have you gotten your time tables yet?" Harry asked.
" Oh yeah, Snake gave them out this morning. I don't think he likes me." Kai said pulling out her schedule.
The three Gryffindors laughed, like really hard.

" What what happened?" Kai asked.
" It's Snape, not Snake." Hermione told her through her laughs.
" Oh. That might be the reason he doesn't like me. I kept calling him that this morning." Kai said.
" You're funny Kai." Ron told her.
" Thanks. Did you get your time tables?" Kai asked.

" Just a minute ago." Harry nodded.
" Can I compare?" Kai asked.
" Sure." Harry nodded and handed her his time tables.
Kai studied them for a moment.
" Cool we have most of our classes together. Except Herbology and Astronomy." Kai told them.
" We took Herbology last year. And we have Astronomy with Hufflepuffs." Harry said.

" Hm. Well at least all make it to at least eight of my classes. That's pretty good." Kai nodded.
" You'll figure out the school soon enough." Harry reassured her.
" Hm. Yeah hopefully. Nat will kick my ass if I don't do will in my classes." Kai said.
They all looked at her terrified.
" Oh not actually. She doesn't beat me, it was just a figure of speech." Kai told them.
They all sighed in relief.

" Well ready to head off the Divinations?" Harry asked.
" Absolutely. Let's go." Kai nodded slung her book bag over her shoulder and stood up.
She smoothed out her button up shirt and tie.
The others just stared at her shocked.
" What?" Kai asked.
" Are you wearing ripped black jeans?" Hermione asked.

" Oh yeah. I'm not really an everyday skirt gal, and those other pants were ugly as hell." Kai told them.
" Didn't Snape she you this morning wearing those?" Ron asked.
" I had robe tied closed earlier. Ya know just training out different looks. Didn't care for it though." Kai explained.
" Well I think you look great." Harry told her standing as well.
" Thanks. Let's go." Kai said.

Kai sat on the ground next to a small table. She was partnered up with a Gryffindor named Neville Longbottom. Their table was right next to Ron and Harry's. Hermione had just disappeared. They were reading tea leaves.

Neville had Kai's cup and vise versa.
" Well your has broken circle. That means lots of changes, but there's also a heart and that means love. So you maybe it means you'll love the changes." Neville guessed.
" Doubtful I'm very picky." Kai joked.
Neville smiled a little at the joke and Kai laughed. Showing him it was okay for him to laugh as well, which he did.

" What does mine say?" Neville asked.
" Uhh I think this is a sword? So that means an extreme act of bravery. Makes since your a Gryffindor." Kai nodded.
" I'm not brave." Neville shook his head.
" I think your too hard on yourself. I also think you might surprise yourself when the time comes." Kai told him.
Neville gave her a small grateful smile.

Suddenly Professor Trelawney screeched. And everyone looked at her.
" My dear boy, you have the grim." She told Harry.
" The grin?" A boy asked.
" Not the grin, the grim. An omen of death." Another boy read.
" My boy you are in great danger." She told him.

Harry looked at Ron and Hermione-wait when did she get there? Then turned to look at Kai. She reached out and took his hand in hers and gave it a squeeze.
