Kai walked off the jet and into the tower. She walked straight for the kitchen and started making Clint a drink to help get his energy and hydration up.
" So you did end up taking my advice." Cedric said walking up behind her.
" Yeah, don't get used to it though." Kai chuckled.
" Soo..?" Cedric asked.
" Woah, Ced I know we are close but you know I don't kiss and tell. I'm a lady." Kai told him.
" I meant did it help you move on?" Cedric rolled his eyes.

" Oh, well in that case no it did not. If anything it made me feel even more shitty. Especially half way through when I realized her eyes were green. I feel so guilty about it." Kai sighed.
" Not to reopen the wound but he was the one that broke up with you. Over a letter nonetheless." Cedric said.
" I know, I know." Kai said.
" Did Hermione ever tell you why Harry decided to break up with you out of the blue?" Cedric asked.
" No, she said she had no idea." Kai shrugged.
" Maybe going back to school will be a good thing." Cedric suggested.

" How do you mean?" Kai asked.
" Maybe what you need to move on is closure, and Harry is the only person that can give that too you. And also more hookups with incredibly hot people." Cedric winked at the end.
" You've become such a whore since moving here." Kai teased finishing Clint's drink.
" What can I say New York brings out the real me." Cedric smiled.
" Dead lord-you need to be the wholesome Hufflepuff again." Kai chuckled and shook her head as she walked out of the kitchen.

She walked to Bruce's lab and saw Clint laying on a table with a machine fixing him.
" You sure he's gonna be okay? Pretending to need this guy really brings the team together." Nat teased.
" Oop zing." Kai smiled.
" Tgeres no possibility of deterioration. The nano-molecular functionality is instantaneous. His cells don't know they're bonding with simulacra." Dr. Cho told them.
" She's creating tissue." Bruce told them.

" If you would have brought him to my lab, the Regeneration Cradle could do this in 20 minutes." Dr. Cho said.
" Oh he's flat lining. Call it. Time?" Tony asked bringing the rest of the team drinks.
" No, no, no I'm going to live forever. I'm going to be made out of plastic." Clint said.
" You're going to be made out of you Mr. Barton. Your own girlfriend won't be able to tell the difference." Dr. Cho told him.
" Well I don't have a girlfriend." Clint said.
" That I can't fix." Dr. Cho said.

" Ha, you get no bitches. And you better not ever get bitches." Kai told him the last part in a threatening whisper.
" Your clunky metal suits are gonna be left in the dust." Dr. Cho told Tony.
" That is exactly the plan. And Helen I expect to see you at the party on Saturday." Tony told her.
" Unlike you, I don't have a lot of time for parties. Will Thor be there?" Dr. Cho asked.
" See Clint, Thor's got bitches." Kai looked down at him.

" I'll still kick your ass with a hole in my side." Clint threatened.

Kai laughed at something stupid Cedric had said at the party a few days later. If anything could raise Kai's spirits it's completing a mission.
" Aye! Little Widow!" A familiar voice called.
Kai turned and saw Sam and Steve walked asking towards her.
" Sammy!" Kai called back happily.
" Long time no see." Sam said.
" Yeah well I've been busy with Avenger stuff. Remember cause I'm an avenger." Kai teased.
" Hey I could have been one too, but I turned it down isn't that right Steve?" Sam asked.

Steve just looked at him and took a drink of his beer. Sam's mouth dropped in disbelief and Kai chuckled.
" Tough break Samual." Kai patted his arm sympathetically.
" Whatever, I know the truth that's all that matters. Anyways who's this?" Sam looked behind Kai at Cedric.
" Oh hello I'm Cedric." Cedric smiled.
" Nice to meet you I'm Sam. Kai is this your British boyfriend?" Sam asked.
" Oh no, I just work for Mr. Stark." Cedric told him.
" Ced is a friend from school but not that kind of friend. Besides me and my boyfriend broke up, I'm surprised that you didn't hear through the grapevine." Kai looked over at Steve at the last part.
