" Who are you going to Slughorn's party with?" Blaise asked as they walked to Hogsmeade the next weekend.
" No one." Kai said.
" Well now you are going with me." Blaise told her.
" Oh really?" Kai asked.
" Yes my girl is bringing her boyfriend to the party, so I cannot be seen alone." Blaise said a matter of factly.
" I thought the point was to show her that your all about her, and that she doesn't feel threatened by our friendship." Kai said.

" I'm not trying to make her jealous with you, I'm trying to show her what a great time people have with me and make her start thinking 'oh that's how much fun we could have together'." Blaise explained as they entered the village.
" Your mind works in ways I'll never truly understand." Kai told him.
" I'm being smart, she's playing checkers, I'm playing chess." Blaise said proudly.
" You've never won a game of chess ever, you suck at chess." Kai teased.
" It's just a saying, Romanoff." Blaise rolled his eyes as they approached The Three Broom Sticks.

" So you finally going to reveal who this mystery girl is?" Kai asked she opened the door to The Three Broomsticks and walked in.
Blaise opened his mouth to say something but got distracted. Kai followed his gaze and saw him looking at Ginny and Dean snogging.
" Oh Blaise.." Kai sighed realizing.
" Let's not talk about it here." Blaise told her.

" Kai!" Someone called.
Kai turned and saw Ron, Hermione and Harry sitting at a table, drinking butter beer. It had been Hermione who called her name. Kai smiled and waved as Blaise also turned to see who it was. Hermione smiled and waved them over. Kai hesitated but Hermione was kept waving her over. She silently sighed and started walking towards them, Blaise following.

" Hey guys." Kai greeted.
" Did you get invited to Slughorn's party?" Hermione cut straight to the chase.
" Uh yeah, I did." Kai nodded.
" Oh great so did me and Harry." Hermione smiled.
" Well only great students got invited, I should know." Blaise smirked.
Kai glanced at him.
" Blaise was also invited." Kai explained.
" Good for you." Harry said bitterly.

Blaise looked at him and smiled condescendingly.
" Why thank you Potter. Actually me and Kai were going to go look for outfits after we got some butter beer. We thought it would be fun if our outfits correlated, even though I think we look good together no matter what we're wearing. What do you think Potter? Do you think me and Kai look together?" Blaise asked his head tilting to the side a tad.
Harry clenched his jaw tightly and narrowed his eyes at Blaise.
" Well it was so nice seeing you lot. I guess I'll see you two at Slughorn's part. Bye guys." Kai grabbed Blaise's hands and walked them away.

She pulled him all the way to a broom closet and pushed him in. She walked in and shut the door behind her.
" What we're you thinking?" Kai started but was cut off by Blaise kissing her.
Kai kissed back confused.
" I'm sorry. I was feeling jealous, so I wanted to make Potter feel jealous so maybe I could feel like I can still control things. I'm use to people being jealous over me not me being jealous over other people." Blaise confessed.
" You need to tell her how you feel." Kai told him.

" I want to, I really do. But I need to wait for the perfect moment. Besides I need to help you make Potter jealous so he'll come crawling back to you." Blaise said.
" He's not jealous he just hates you." Kai told him.
" No I promise you he's jealous. And it's extremely easy to make him jealous, we just need make him so jealous he snaps." Blaise smirked.
" He doesn't want me." Kai shook her head.
" Believe me he does, and you want him." Blaise pointed his finger at her.
" I'm use to not getting what I want." Kai told him.
" Well I'm not. And right now I want to go back to the castle and get over my jealously." Blaise winked suggestively.

" Your such a horn dog, we haven't even got butter beer yet, we literally just got here." Kai complained.
Blaise kissed her again, this time making sure to place a kiss on her sweet spot before pulling away.
" Ugh you son of bitch you make a great argument." Kai sighed.

" So tell me Cormac, do you see anything if your uncle Tiberius these days?" Slughorn asked at dinner.
" Uh yes sir, I'm actually meant to go hunting with him and the Minister of Magic over the holiday." Cormac told him.
" Ah we'll give them both my best. What about your uncle Belby? For those of you who don't know Marcus's uncle invented Wolfsbane Potion. Is he working on anything new?" Slughorn asked.
" Don't know, him and and my dad don't get on. Probably because my dad says his potions are rubbish. Say he's only potion worth having is a stiff one at the end of the day." Belby said as he shoveled ice cream into his mouth.

" Switch me." Blaise whispered to Kai who was sitting on the other side of him.
" Not a chance in hell." Kai whispered back.
" Miss Granger what is it actually that your parents do in the Muggle world?" Slughorn asked.
" My parents are dentist. They tend to peoples teeth." Hermione told him.
" Fascinating. And is that considered a dangerous profession?" Slughorn asked.
" No, although one time a boy bit my father. He needed ten stitches." Hermione laughed.
" Stitches are a Muggle healing device." Kai explained.

" Ah I see. Now Miss Romanoff as I understand it you live the life of danger." Slughorn said.
" Yes sir. As a child I was raised in a spy agency with my adoptive mother. Um but for the last two and half years I've been training with the Avengers." Kai explained.
" Yes, The Worlds Mightiest Hero's, that's what I've heard on the Muggle News." Slughorn smiled.
" That's us." Kai nodded.
" Now, my dear pardon my curiosity but how'd did you survive the attack that killed your mother and her family?" Slughorn asked with no shame.
" Oh uh-" Kai hesitated, her muscle memory taking over and searching for help in Harry's eyes.
Harry who was already looking at her held her accidental gaze.

Luckily Ginny had walked in and Slughorn turned his attention to her. Kai and Harry stayed staring at one another. He only broke eye connect when Hermione whispered something to him. Harry looked back at Kai hoping she was still looking at him but she was now talking to Blaise. Harry sighed and kept playing with his bowl of ice cream.
