" Blaise I'm in love with your mom." Kai said looking at herself in the mirror.
Blaise's mom had sent her a dress for the party and Kai was in love with it.
" Well she's in love with you. She's already planning our wedding." Blaise told her as he put on his cuff links.
" Too bad that's never going to happen." Kai chuckled.
" That's what I told her, but my mum still insists it might happen. Even if it doesn't she'll still live you more than me." Blaise told her.
" I can't wait to meet her tonight." Kai looked at him.

" She can't wait to meet you. Are you sure you just don't want to stay at my house?" Blaise asked.
" Thank you for offering but I need to go back. There's things I need." Kai told him.
" I don't like the idea of you being in that place all by yourself. Just because I'm not in love you doesn't mean I don't love you and want you to die." Blaise walked over to her.
" It's so cute that you think someone could kill me." Kai smirked.

Blaise just rolled his eyes and offered her his arm. Kai linked their arms and they walked out of the dorm.

Once they reached Slughorn's office, Blaise knocked on the door. It was open to reveal Neville in a servers suit. In his other hand was a tray of champagne.
" Hey guys." Neville smiled shyly.
" Nice to see you Neville, looking sharp." Kai grabbed a glass and walked in.
Blaise also took a glass and gave him a wink before following after Kai.
Kai took a drink as she walked deeper into the room looking at all the decorations.
" You are seriously the hottest witch here." Blaise whispered coming up behind her.

" Are you sure about that, love?" Kai whispered back looking over at Ginny and Dean.
Blaise also looked and a smile immediately graced his lips.
" I'm so whipped." Blaise shook his head before taking a sip of his drink.
" Obviously, and it's unbearable to watch. So let me play wingwoman. Look she just finished her drink, I'll distract Dean you you offer to get her another." Kai devised a plan.
Blaise took a nervous deep breath in and downed his drink.
" Let's do this." Blaise nodded.

They started their way towards them.
" Hey Ginny, hi Dean!" Kai smiled.
" Hi Kai." Ginny smiled back and they hugged.
" Hey Dean, can I ask what did you get on that D.A.D.A paper last week?" Kai asked.
Dean started to answer, and Kai watched from her peripheral vision as Blaise struck up a conversation with Ginny. And soon they walked off towards a tray of drinks. Kai nodded at Dean to show she was interested in what he was saying.

" Uh Kai.." Dean said suddenly.
" Hm what?" Kai asked.
" I think Harry wants your attention. He's been giving me the death stare for about a minute now." Dean told her.
Unable to help herself Kai turned and looked at Harry. Damn fucking shit he looked good. Harry started making his way towards her and Kai stood frozen.

" Hi." He smiled.
" Hi." Kai smiled back.
Apparently Dean had left them cause Kai didn't feel his presence behind her anymore.
" Having a nice time?" Harry asked.
" Oh yeah, just peachy." Kai nodded.
" So I see you've come with Blaise." Harry observed.
" I did. And who did you come with?" Kai asked.
" Luna." Harry told her.

A natural smile reached Kai's lips.
" That's great choice. It's so much nicer coming to these things with friends then a possible boyfriend or girlfriend." Kai said something without really saying something.
Harry's eyebrows raised and he nodded, understanding her code.
" Too bad we couldn't have come together." Harry said.
Kai's smile immediately dropped.

" I wasn't trying too-you know it's okay. Um I better find Blaise. I'll see you later." Kai said before walking away.
Harry was dumbfounded and watched her leave. When he saw her place her drink down and leave the actual party he followed after her. What had happened?

He followed her into a dark, empty corridor.
" Why are you walking away from me?" Harry shouted after her.
" Drop it, Harry." Kai shouted back not looking back at him.
Harry ran to her and grabbed her arm. This made her stop walking and he turned her to face him.
" No, I deserve an explanation." Harry told her.
Now, this, this pissed Kai off.
" You? You deserve an explanation? After you left me completely in the dark for months? You really think I owe you an explanation? I don't owe you shit." Kai spat.

" I do owe an explanation, we were having a decent conversation and you walked away." Harry scoffed.
" Because I knew where the conversation was heading and I didn't want to give the wrong impression." Kai told him.
" The wrong impression?" Harry asked.
" Yes, I was trying not to be blunt but I will be. Me and Blaise are not a thing, I don't like him like that. I want you to know that, however by saying this I am not suggesting that you and I get back together. You took what I said the wrong way back there." Kai explained.

" You don't want to get back with me?" Harry asked.
" Not until I get the explanation I deserve from you. Until I get that and a heartfelt apology, I cannot even think about getting back together." Kai told him.
" I'm sorry, I'm so sorry my love." Harry apologized grabbing her hands.
" No, no, that's a half ass apology and you know it. You're not apologizing because you want me back you're apologizing because for the last few months you thought I was interested in Blaise, and you couldn't stand seeing me with someone else. You don't actually want me, but you don't want anyone else to have me. Would you have even acknowledged my existence if Blaise hadn't been hanging around me?" Kai asked tears now spilling from her eyes and she pulled her hands away.

" Kai please, you know that's not true." Harry shook his head.
" I don't know what's true. I don't know you anymore Harry. And you don't know me, we've both grown a lot this summer. We don't-fit anymore." Kai looked away.
" Don't say that, I love you." Harry told her, now he was crying.
" You don't know what you want Harry or who you love. I have to go pack, I'm leaving with Blaise in two hours." Kai said still not looking at him.
" Please don't go." Harry pleaded.

" Goodbye Harry." Kai wiped under her eyes and walked away.
