The group walked into the Great Hall and Kai sat down next to Harry.
" Do you really think you're going to get away with it this time?" Harry asked amused.
" Well not if you're shouting about it." Kai teased.
Harry chuckled and wrapped his arm around her waist.

" Miss Romanoff." Snape said from behind them.
" Oh hey professor. What's up?" Kai smiled.
" Must we do this every year?" Snape asked.
" Not if you just let me sit here, than No we don't." Kai rebuttal.
" Like I've said before the rules do not change for one singular student." Snape told her.
" Professor did you hear I saved the world again this summer?" Kai asked.

" How extravagant. Slytherin table. Now." Snape told her strictly.
" Boo you're no fun. Bye guys." Kai said standing up.
Snape walked her to the Slytherin table before taking his spot at the teachers table.

" Why hello cousin." Draco said from across the table.
" I already saw you Draco." Kai said.
" I know but you were with Potter. It wasn't our true reunion." Draco told her.
" Whatever you say. But hey lay off Harry a little would ya? I'd hate to have to kick your ass." Kai told him.
" No promises." Draco said.

" Welcome! Welcome students back to another year at Hogwarts. We have two changes in staff this year. We would all like to welcome back Professor Grubbly-Plank who will be taking over Care for Magical Creatures on Hagrid's temporary leave. Also our new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor Dolores Umbridge. Our caretaker Mr. Flich wanted me to remind you all-" Dumbledore started but was interrupted by Umbridge.

She stood up and started walking to the podium.
" She looks like a bamboos arse." Draco whispered.
" I swear I've seen her exact outfit get coughed up by Miss Norris." Kai whispered back.

" Thank you Headmaster for those kind words of welcome. And how lovely to see y'all your bright, happy faces smiling up at me. I'm sure we are all going to be good friends. The Ministry of Magic has always considered the education of young witches and wizards of most vital importance. Although every headmaster has brought something new to this historic school, progress for the sake of progress must be discouraged. Let us preserve what must be preserved, let us perfect things that can be perfected and prune practices that ought to be prohibited." Umbridge said with a little giggle.

Kai groaned at the riddle that was just spoken.
" I fucking hate this school. I should transfer to PigFarts." Kai groaned.
" What's PigFarts?" Theo asked.
She looked up at him and decided have a little fun.
" It's a Wizarding school on Mars. It's Headmaster is RumbleRoar, he's a lion." Kai made up the most bizarre story.
" Can I got with you?" Draco asked.
" I'm honestly worried for you both." Kai said.

" So Romanoff may I walk you back to the common room?" Blaise asked changing the topic.
" Well ya know Blaise since we're both going that way I'd say yes." Kai looked at him.
" You're so pretty." He told her.
" And you have to explain these two that PigFarts isn't real." Kai said.
" Fuck." Blaise sighed.

Kai sat next to Hermione in DADA class the next day. She of course wore her button up shirt, house tie, her black ripped jeans and doc martins. The rest of the class talked loudly and threw around paper airplanes and birds while Hermione and Kai talked about their Summer's. Well actually Kai told Hermione about her summer and Hermione scolded her from being so reckless and also asking a million times if she was alright.

Some would fine this annoying but Kai knew that Hermione just really cared for her. Even though Kai tries her hardest to always keep her cool when it comes to certain people she would act the exact same as Hermione.

Suddenly the paper burst into flames and fizzled out. Everyone turned to the back of the class and saw Umbridge with her wand up. She walked to the front of the room.
" Good morning children. Ordinary Wizarding Level Examinations. O-W-Ls. More commonly known as Owls." Umbridge said using her wand to write in the chalk board.
" Oh really? That actually makes since." Kai whisper to Hermione.

" Study hard and you will be rewarded. Fail to do due so and the consequences may be sever." Umbridge told them.
" Shit-I'm going to be in detention all year." Kai sighed.
Hermione just patted her shoulder sympathetically as books began to float onto their desks.
" Your previous instruction in this subject had been disturbingly uneven. But you'll be pleased to know that from now on you will be following, a carefully structured, ministry approved course of defensive magic. Yes?" Umbridge called on Hermione.

" There's nothing in here about using defensive spells." Hermione said.
" Using spells? Well I can't imagine why you would need to use spells in my classroom." Umbridge chuckled.
" We're not going to use magic?" Ron asked.
" You will be learning about defensive spells in a risk free way." Umbridge told them.
" Boring." Kai sighed.
" Well what's the use of that? If we're going to be attacked it won't be risk free." Harry said.
" Agreed. It's actually the most risky thing that could happen." Kai backed him up.

" Students will raise their hands to speak in my class." Umbridge scolded.
Kai and Harry looked at each other.
" It is in the view of the Ministry that a theoretical knowledge will be sufficient to get you through your examinations. Which after all is what school is all about." Umbridge said.
" And how's theory suppose to prepare us for what's out there?" Harry asked.
" There is no one out there dear. Who do you imagine wants to attack children like yourselves?" Umbridge asked.

" Um-I don't know what about Lord Voldemort." Harry rebuttal.
" That no nose son of bitch is a nasty back fighter too." Kai added.
The room went silent.
" Let me be quite plain. You've been told that a certain dark wizard is at large again. This...is...a...lie." Umbridge told them.
" It's not a lie. I saw him, I fought him. Kai was there too-" Harry started.
" Detention Mister Potter." Umbridge shouted.

" Woah you can't give him detention for being truthful. Even if you don't like the truth doesn't make it any less true." Kai said.
" Would you like to join Mister Potter in detention Miss Romanoff?" Umbridge challenged.
" Would you like to look at me straight in my eyes and tell me that I'm lying about what happened to me?" Kai challenged right back.
" Detention Miss Romanoff." She told her.

" Great maybe during our hour detention you'll hear the real story from the people who were actually there. You know unlike Fudge." Kai said.
" Enough!" Umbridge shouted angrily.
The whole class went silent. A moment passed.
" Mister Potter, Miss Romanoff, meet me later in my office." Umbridge giggled before turning back to the board.

Kai and Harry looked at one another.
" I love you so much." Harry whispered.
" I love you more, scarhead." Kai smirked.
" Impossible." Harry said before returning his attention back to the front.
