Kai Romanoff

Kai and Harry were studying under a tree next to the black lake. Harry kept glancing at Kai every few seconds.
" Just ask." Kai sighed.
" What? What do you mean?" Harry asked.
" Whatever you that brain of your is dying to ask." Kai said looking at him.

" Who was your bogart?" Harry asked the question that he had been wondering for two weeks.
" Someone from my past thats-that's done horrible things to me and so many other innocent girls." Kai told him.
" Do you wanna talk about it?" Harry asked.
" Maybe one day. I don't want to scare you off just yet." Kai joked, uh kinda.
" I don't think you could." Harry told her.

" You'd be surprised. But what about you. What's your whole story?" Kai asked.
" A long time ago there was a man named Voldemort. He wanted to wipe out all muggles and muggle borns. There was a prophecy, that a child born would defeat him. That was me. My parents went into hiding, but they were discovered. Voldemort killed them, but when he tried killing me the spell bounced off me and back at him. He died supposedly, and I got away with this scar." Harry explained.

" So you basically saved the Wizarding world." Kai simplified.
" I guess." Harry shrugged.
" So modest." Kai rolled her eyes and laughed.
Harry laughed with her.
" Why is Sirius Black after you?" Kai asked.
" He was one of Voldemort followers. He wants revenge." Harry said.
" Yeah well he'll have to go through me to get to you." Kai said without thinking.

Harry smiled and grabbed her hand.
" You'll protect me?" Harry asked.
" Yeah well since your protecting the the whole world, I suppose it's only right someone does the same for you." Kai said trying to stop a blush from forming on her cheeks.
" Who will protect you?" Harry asked.
" I wouldn't worry about it. I've got some connections in the Muggle world. Hey-thats the first time I've used wizard slang correctly in a sentence." Kai smiled.

Harry chuckled and shook his head.
" Congratulations." Harry said sarcastically.
" Brat." Kai pulled her hand away and hit his chest.
" Did you just hit me?" Harry asked his jaw dropped.
" Yes what are you going to do about it?" Kai asked.
Harry lunged at her playfully, but Kai grabbed his arms and pinned him down on the grass.

Harry's face flushed as he looked up at her. Kai blushed embarrassed. It now had just entered her brain all those RomCom movies her and Nat watched. There always a scene where the guy would chase the girl around playfully as a way of flirting. Was he trying to flirt with her?

" Ha, sorry." Kai got off of him.
" Gotta say I saw not expecting that." Harry stood up and dusted himself.
Kai chuckled nervously, scratching the back her head.
" But hey, never let them know your next move right?" Harry said.
Kai let out a real laugh this time and nodded.

" It's getting kinda late. Should we head back?" Kai suggested.
" Yeah sure." Harry nodded.
They picked up their things and started walking back to the castle.

" Hey Romanoff." Fred said as he sat next to her at breakfast one day.
George sat himself on the other side of her.
" Who let you two out again?" Kai teased.
" Cheeky cheeky." George said.
" What do you two want?" Kai asked.
" Well we were wondering if you could place this in Malfoy's dorm for us." Fred said holding out a small grey ball.

" What is it?" Kai asked.
" It's a dungbomb. It will fill the whole dorm with smoke." George explained.
" Weak." Kai said taking a bite out of her toast.
" What?" They both asked.
" That's a weak prank." Kai said again.
" No it's brilliant." George said.
" Yeah like you have a better idea." Fred scoffed.

" I do." Kai shrugged.
" What is it?" Fred asked.
" Well you could sneak into their dorms bathroom, take the head of the shower off and fill it with any bright color of paint your red headed hearts want. Then screw the head back on, then that morning when Malfoy goes to take a shower-cause you know he'll be the first one- he'll be covered in paint. And let me tell you it takes at least three days of extreme scrubbing to get bright paint off." Kai explained to them.

" That's absolutely brilliant. How do you know it will work?" George asked.
" I've done it before." Kai told them.
" Your absolutely evil Romanoff. I love it. The only thing is we don't know the password." Fred said.
Kai took another bite of her toast.
" Please Romanoff." They fluttered their eyelashes.

" Only if things go sideways my name stays out of it." Kai told them.
" Deal." Fred nodded.
Kai smiled and lend towards Fred and whispered the password for this two weeks. Then did the same to George.
" I would go tomorrow at six in the morning. They have an early quidditch practice." Kai told them.

" I love you Romanoff." Fred kissed the side of her head.
" Yes, I am quite lovable." Kai nodded.

The next morning everyone had quite the laugh at breakfast when Malfoy came in with light pink skin and neon pink hair. It was perfect because today was the first day of Hogsmeade too. So everyone would see his new look.

But never mind Malfoy, it was half way through October and the group of four was ready to go see the village. They walked outside the castle to give their permission slips. However, Harry hadn't gotten his signed.

" You go on without me." Harry told them.
" I can stay with you." Kai offered.
" No, no, go have fun." Harry told her.
" But I don't want to go without you." Kai said.
" Are you sure?" Harry asked.
" There will always be other trips." Kai shrugged.
" I mean if you want to hang out I'd love that. But I also wanted to talk to Professor Lupin about something." Harry said.

" I have to write Nat a letter anyways. You go have your talk. Come find me when your ready, if you even want to hang out." Kai told him.
" Your the best." Harry smiled.
" I've been told." Kai shrugged.

They waved bye to Ron and Hermione, and they walked back into the castle.
