Kai walked around Diagon Alley the night before the train would arrive to take her and all the other students to Hogwarts, with her trunk in hand. The whole place was trashed, every building was abandoned and the windows were broken. All but one. Kai couldn't help but smile as she saw a huge animatronic of red head guy taking off and on a top hat.

The shop looked to be empty but all the lights were still on. Kai tried the handle and it opened with ease. She let her self in closing the door behind her and marveled at the all the bright colors and different toys and gadgets going off all around her. She sat her trunk down.

She saw a sign labeled love potions and walked towards it. In a bin we're little bottles filled with pink liquid. Kai picked one up and studied it.
" Oh um sorry, we're closed for the night." The oh so familiar voice of Fred Weasley said from behind her.
" Even for me?" Kai asked smirking and turning around.
" Kai? Oh my Merlin, how could I have not have recognized you." Fred smiled and walked towards her.
Kai chuckled and hugged him tightly. Fred hugged back with the same force.

" I saw you on the news! In Sokovia!" Fred pulled away but still held onto her shoulders.
" Yeah that was me." Kai nodded.
" You almost died!" Fred said.
" No, not even close." Kai chuckled.
" Well I'm happy you are okay, and that you are here." Fred told her.
" I'm happy that I'm here too. I didn't mean to come after hours though, but the door was unlocked." Kai said.

" George must have forgotten to lock it on his way out." Fred told her.
" He's not here?" Kai asked as she followed him around the shop.
" Nope, as soon as we close he heads out to see Angelina." Fred told her as he kept cleaning up.
" Wait I thought Angelina liked you?" Kai asked.
" Dunno, her and George really got on this summer." Fred shrugged.
" Hm interesting." Kai nodded.
" What?" Fred asked laughing.
" Nothing, it's just that you are the more attractive twin so I just thought she'd like you." Kai teased.

Fred laughed and shook his head.
" Are you flirting with me Miss Romanoff?" Fred asked.
" Me? No, never." Kai shook her head but smiled.
Fred rolled his eyes playfully and continued to clean up.
" But really, any special person in your life right now Fredrick?" Kai asked.
" Honestly no. I'd never thought I'd say this, but my only love is my work." Fred told her.
" That is surprising to say the least." Kai said.

" Hey, where are you staying tonight?" Fred asked suddenly.
" I'll probably just go get a room at the Leaky Cauldron." Kai shrugged.
" Nonsense, we have a guest room upstairs. You'll stay with me, then tomorrow I'll take you to Kings Cross Station." Fred told her.
" It's not that big of deal Fred-" Kai started.
" No it is. It really is. I know you've been too busy saving the world for the millionth time, but things have gotten bad here. Not many places are left that are safe." Fred told her.

" Whats been going on?" Kai asked.
Fred visibly hesitated.
" Let me close up and I'll tell you upstairs." Fred told her.
Kai nodded and Fred rushed over to the doors and locked them. He picked up Kai's trunk and walked back to her. He lead her to the first flight of stairs and walked up to the second story. Then Fred turned off all the lights and lead her up another hidden flight of stairs. They walked up and stood in front of a wooden door. Fred sat down her trunk and pulled out a key and unlocked the door. He opened it and picked Kai's trunk back up.

" Well here it is, home sweet home." Fred walked into the apartment.
Kai followed him in and looked around at the small living room that was connected to a little kitchen only being separated by a kitchen island. Fred closed the door behind her.
" Like it?" Fred asked.
" Fred it's awesome. It totally matches you and George." Kai told him.
" Here let me show you, the guest room." Fred walked past her towards the hall way.
Kai followed suit.
" That's George's room, my room, that one is the bathroom, and this is the room where you are staying." Fred stopped in front a door.

" Thanks for this again." Kai told him opening the door and taking the trunk from him.
" Of course, that's what-friends are for." Fred scratched the back of his head as Kai placed her trunk inside the room.
" So tell me, what's been going on?" Kai asked as they walked back to the living room and sat on the couch.
" Well after it became public that you-know-who is back, deatheaters started appearing by the dozens. New prisoners were broken out of Azkaban almost every week. Then the attacks started." Fred told her simply.

" Is everyone okay though?" Kai asked.
" Yeah, I don't know if I should be telling this or not, but the order is back in full swing. Me and George have been going to meetings all summer." Fred said.
" Good, maybe you could put in a good word for me." Kai only half joking.
" I think after everyone saw what you did this summer the order would be fools not to let you join." Fred said.
Kai just chuckled.

" How are you doing though? After uh everything." Fred asked.
" Ginny told you huh?" Kai guessed.
" Well her and Hermione did." Fred confessed.
" I-um I wasn't okay at first. Now I'm-probably just still kind of confused." Kai told him.
" Did he ever tell you why?" Fred asked.
Kai shook her head no.
" I'm sorry Kai, you don't deserve this." Fred scooted closer to her.
" I'll be okay, trust me I've been through worse." Kai tried brushing it off.

Fred wrapped his arms around her in a hug. Kai hugged back and melted into him. She inhaled his scent and sighed. A thought entered Kai's mind that she wished hadn't. But once it was there she couldn't not think about it.

She snuggled her head into his neck. She could feel him stiffen.
" Kai...what are you really doing here?" Fred asked.
" What do you mean? I'm here to see you." Kai told him.
Fred pulled away so he could look at her.
" You know I wanna be a good friend to you, but I'm still as in love you as I was last year, maybe even more if that's possible." Fred admitted.
" What's so wrong with that?" Kai asked her eyes bouncing from his lips to his eyes.

" You're leading me on Kai." Fred said his voice barely above whisper.
" Are you okay with that?" Kai asked.
" Most definitely." Fred nodded before leaning into her.
Kai met him half way and kissed him deeply. Fred moved his hand to the back her head.
" Please, be mine, just for tonight." Fred said against her lips.
" Tonight I'm all yours." Kai nodded before kissing him again.

Authors Note: Woah two chapters in one day? Who I'm I? Well I'll tell ya, I'm an author who thinks my lovely readers need to be spoiled. This was a bit of a filler chapter but next one is the first chapter of The Half Blood Prince. So stayed tuned. Okay love ya <3
