Your POV

"Where are we going?" I asked, gripping onto Jason's hand as I trembled in fear.
Jason McCann was taking me on a mission with him.
I had no idea what to expect, but I knew I wasn't prepared.
He sat next to me as we all fidgeted uncomfortably in the silence as Matt drove the black truck down an unknown road.
I was terrified.
Jason squeezed my hand, trying to be comforting.

"To a house owned by a man named Brett. He's the weakest member of The Damnation. If they took my money and files, Luke would spill it," Jason noticed the fear in my eyes.
"It's going to be okay." He whispered.

All I could do was force a smile.
"I know it is."

Jason squeezed my hand a little tighter,
"You'll be fine. All I want you to do is wait in the truck and don't open it to anyone." He ordered.

I furrowed my eyebrows. "I'm coming with you." I said.

Jason's expression changed.
"No you're not, Y/n. It's too dangerous."

I shook my head.
"I don't care."

"What if something happens to you in there?" Jason challenged.

"You'll be there to help me. What if something happens in here? I'll be alone."

Jason sucked his teeth and sighed.
"Fine. But you do exactly what I say, never leave my side, okay?" He ordered.

I nodded and sighed. "What's even going to happen?" I asked.

Jason opened his mouth to speak but Matt suddenly jerked the truck to a halt. "We're here." He said.

I felt Jason tense beside me for a second but he soon relaxed. "Okay, let's go." He said through gritted teeth.

Everyone checked their guns were fully loaded and Kaine tossed me a radio.

"What's this for?" I asked.

"Everyone has one, it's in case anyone gets split up, we can contact each other."

I looked down at the small black device in my hands.
"Ohh, so like a walkie talkie?"

Kaine furrowed his eyebrows at me and he loaded more guns into a black bag. "A what?" He asked.

Did he seriously not know what a walkie talkie was?
"Never mind." I shook my head.

Kaine shrugged and handed me small silver gun. "Here."

I frowned at him. "I'm not using this." I said, offering it him back.

Jason came up behind me and rested a hand on my shoulder.
"It's just for self defence." He explained.

I spun round and shook my head frantically.
"I don't want to kill anyone, I could never live with myself." I babbled.

Jason rolled his eyes. "It's either stay here or take the gun." He said.

I looked down at my shoes. "Fine, I'll take it. But I won't use it." I said stubbornly.

Jason shoved his own gun into his pocket. "Hopefully you won't have to." He said, then turned to one of the bags he had brought and pulled out some black jeans and a bullet proof vest. "Change into these and then we can go."

I looked down at my mud covered dress and then took the clothes out of his hands.
I stood behind a few seats as I changed, praying that they were enough to cover me.

After a minute, I was done, my body was crushed up inside a stiff vest that I could barely breathe in.

I came out and Jason took my wrist.
"Okay, is everyone ready?" He asked. Everyone nodded as Matt opened the truck door and we all climbed out, revealing a huge mansion.

It was smaller than Jason's, but just as fancy.
Trees bordered the driveway, and water-fountains sprayed up into the night sky.

I gulped as we all began walking to the entrance.
Kaine carried a bag which was swung over his shoulder, filled with extra weapons.

I tugged on Jason's arm.
"If I didn't make you take me out, would I be at home right now?" I asked.

Jason hesitated and shook his head. "I need you with me tonight."

I slid my wrist out of his grip and intertwined my fingers with his, holding his soft hand.
I wanted to feel comfort more than anything right now.

Jason squeezed my hand, sensing my fear.
"I promise it's going to be okay." He whispered.

I swallowed hard. "Don't make promises you can't keep." I croaked.

"I want you to know that I wouldn't do that." He said.

I sighed as we all gathered around the front door, Kaine pulled on the handle, but it was locked.

"Help me here, bro." He said, referring to Jason.
Jason let go of my hand, leaving me feeling completely vulnerable to anything.

Jason and Kaine both bashed their shoulders against the door aggressively, making the hinges screech. They repeated their actions, throwing themselves at the door until it finally opened.

All of us flooded through the door into a huge hallway.
Jason whipped a small black pistol from his pocket and cocked it eagerly.
"I'll take Y/n and check upstairs." He announced, moving closer to me and sliding his hand back into mine, lacing our fingers together as if it was something he had done a thousand times.

"Jason, Y/n should stay with me," Alara stepped forward and narrowed her eyes at him. "We both know why."

"Not a chance. She's staying with me no matter what." Jason's voice was filled with a developing anger.

"So you can fuck up again?" Alara crossed her arms over her chest.

Kaine stepped forward and rested his hand on Alara's shoulder. "Babe, you won't win with him." He sighed.

Jason rolled his eyes. "We're wasting time." he squeezed my hand, letting me know that I was definitely going with him. "Everyone keep your radios on, and meet back here in half an hour if Brett isn't home."

I looked up at Jason. "Why don't you just use phones?"

"They can track us," he shook his head. "Come on. Let's go."
And without another word, Jason lead me out of the room and up a long, spiralled staircase.

"What if The Damnation aren't the ones who took your money?" I questioned.

Jason clenched his jaw. "I'm pretty sure they are," he said. "I've fucked it up bad this time, and there's a lot of tension between my gang and theirs."

"What did you do?"

"Something unforgivable."
