Your POV

The plane rolled smoothly along the runway in preparation to take off.
It was nothing like I expected:
The comfy sofas were a pleasant cream colour, there was a soft fluffy carpet on the floor, a working bar with a large television, and personal service.
And one more thing.
There were no other passengers.
It was nothing like I had seen on TV, and for my first time flying, I was pretty nervous, but also enjoying the tranquility of the plane.
Jason seemed unaffected by the way the giant vehicle seemed to dramatically speed up along the lit up road, but my heart pounded atrociously in my chest at the thought of launching up into the night sky.
"Damn, I haven't been to the Maldives in so long." Jason sighed, as he casually flipped through a magazine with his legs rested on the table in front of us.

I hummed in response, I was definitely excited, but I was too anxious to let it show.
Ever since I had watched that news article of the plane explosion which resulted in my parent's deaths, I had been afraid of flying ever since. I shuddered at the memory and visions of Jason's sickly plan to kill everyone on board plagued my mind. I shook my head, trying not to think about it.

Suddenly, the plane sped up a little further, and I knew that we would be off the ground in less than a minute. I pressed my back against the seat, mentally kicking myself for making a big deal out of nothing.
But Jason noticed my distress and he took my hand in his, squeezing it lightly.
"Hey, are you okay?" He mumbled, his eyebrows knitting together in concern.

I nodded and tried to pull myself together.
This was a new experience, I needed to enjoy it.
"Yeah." I breathed out. "I've just never been on a plane before." I forced a laugh at the end of my sentence, just to make out that I wasn't that scared.

Jason's eyes widened slightly for a moment.
"Are you serious?" He asked, stunned.

I nodded again, clutching onto his hand as if I was falling.
"I'm so glad there are still some things that you don't know about me." I mumbled

Jason smiled in amusement and a soft sigh escaped his lips, and I only just heard it over the loud rolling of the plane's wheels against the runway.
"Just don't think about it, baby. It's gonna be alright as soon as we've taken off." He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and pulled me against him, pressing his lips against my temple comfortingly.

I managed to smile at his heartwarming actions, and practically melted into him.
But then, a foreign feeling settled in my whole body, and I felt like jelly.
Jason's arm tightened around me, and that was when I realised that we were no longer on the ground.
I convinced myself to look out of the tiny window, and the view immediately took my breath away.

Everything was lit up in golden lights as the plane glided upwards into the starry night sky.
"Wow, this is incredible." I mumbled under my breath, completely relaxing under Jason's magical touch.

A throaty chuckle escaped his lips. "I knew you'd like it. First class, baby." He whispered, smiling in complete admiration. He opened his mouth to say something else, but was interrupted by a personal flight attendant, whose blonde ponytail was so tight that her orangey makeup-caked skin was stretched back awkwardly.

"Mr. McCann." She cleared her throat, eyeing him with something I could only describe as bitterness and disgust.

At the sound of the woman's voice, Jason's face creased with irritation and he rolled his eyes before turning his head to look at her.
"What?" He said bluntly.
