Your POV

"Where's Ellie?" I rushed inside the living room as soon as Jason and I made it back to Ben's mansion.
Everyone was huddled on the modern sofa, watching the film 'Taken'.

Matt was the first one to stand up and confront me. "You stole my van," he sounded disgusted. "What were you thinking?"

I rolled my eyes and brushed past him. "Where is she?" I begged, praying for an answer from someone.

"Ben texted her about an hour ago and she just left, she hasn't been back since." Josh kept his eyes on the flickering tv as he spoke. "Hey Jason, you're lucky Y/n didn't have a dad like that." He pointed to the screen, laughing.

I grabbed the remote from the coffee table and switched the film off, annoyed.
"I'm serious, does anyone have Ellie's number?"

Alara snorted. "Who would want it?"

"Guys!" I threw my hands up in frustration. "I need to find her."

"Why?" Jake asked.

"Cause Ben's gonna kill her." My voice shook and I felt instantly guilty.
This is my fault, this is all my fault.
"He's still a member of the Damnation."

Alara slapped her hand over her face and groaned. "I fucking knew it, I knew it from the very start, but no one listened to me."

Jason inched beside me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "Y/n, maybe it was an empty threat just so you wouldn't tell anyone about what happened." His voice was calming. "Ben likes Ellie, a lot. I don't think he'd do anything to actually hurt her."

"But how can you be sure?" I looked at him desperately. "I don't want anything to happen."

"It won't baby. We'll sort this out tomorrow, okay?" He pecked my cheek and searched my teary eyes.

"Why not now?" I whimpered.

"Cause it's getting late and we've both had a rough day. We don't need any more drama." He cupped my face in his hands and ran his thumb along my cheek. "I say we just go to bed and worry about this in the morning."

"Wait, we're sleeping here? After Ben literally held me at gunpoint?" My voice sounded shocked and far away.

Jason nodded reluctantly. "We've got no where else to go, and Ben won't come back tonight, trust me on this, baby." He whispered.

I sighed and eventually nodded.
But an uneasy feeling settled in my stomach and I doubted I would get any sleep tonight.

----------------

I laid with my head resting on Jason's bare chest whilst his hands ran through my hair and down my back, relaxing me completely.
"I prefer bull dogs." Jason continued our debate of which kind of dogs were the best.
I don't know how we ended up on that subject, but it was something to talk about other than the mission or all the things that were going wrong in our lives.
Plus, it was a comfortable and laid-back conversation that I enjoyed having with him.

"German Shepard's are better than bull dogs." I mumbled.

"No way," Jason pretended to be disgusted. "I hate German Shepard's, those things are what police have, they're used to search people. You're practically busted if you've got one of them sniffing in your pockets and your bag."
