Jason's POV

I didn't give him any time to react before I swung my clenched fist around Will's face, the force built up on every piece of anger than this guy had caused me. My knuckles instantly stung viciously when we made contact, but soon turned completely numb from the unimaginable impact and from the dedication to get rid of this guy.

Will stumbled back, losing his balance slightly, and I took it as the perfect opportunity to violently shove him backwards into the glass coffee table.
It shattered beneath his weight, and made an unbearably loud noise - which probably woke up the whole family.
A sense of satisfaction rushed through my body when Will's face twisted in pain as the sharp corners of broken glass cut into his flesh, but I instantly snapped out of it, not wanting to have the fucked up mindset of a psychopath.
I didn't consider myself a psychopath, more of a sociopath.
But deep down, I didn't know which category I fell under.

Probably psychopath, let's be honest.

"Get the fuck up." I yelled, dismissing the fact that Will's mom and his two brothers were upstairs.
Will's jaw clenched angrily, and he heaved himself to his feet slowly, his hands and arms were covered in deep, bleeding cuts.
A low growl erupted from his chest, and he breathed heavily like a raging bull.

"I'm going to beat you until you're coughing up blood." Will seethed, his voice inhumane and sinister.
And that's when blurred memories rushed through my head all at once, turning my legs to jelly and majorly weakening my much-needed concentration.

The autumn leaves rustled in the trees and danced in the cool breeze.
My classmates rushed around the playground, squealing and laughing happily as they played classic games like hop-scotch and tag.

Me and my older brother, Alex, never used to join in. Both of us were different from the rest.
Even with me at seven years old, and Alex at nine, the teachers all had severe concerns about the two of us.

We were more quiet, far apart and distant.

However, today, Alex had managed to land himself in a sinister detention with Mr. Collen. I felt real sympathy for him, and cringed at the torture of having to sit in a classroom whilst it was playtime.

Distant cheers caught my attention, and my head spun around to see a crowd of people. Chanting and laughing devilishly.
Usually, I would avoid situations like this.
I liked to keep my head down and out of the way.
But this time, my curiosity got the best of me.
And thank god it did.

I strolled over to the group of people casually, with my hands shoved deep inside my pockets as the cold nipped away at my exposed flesh.
I managed to push my way though the huddle of my classmates, and I caught a glimpse of what everyone was so interested in.

A fiery anger began to boil in the pit of my stomach, and my hands naturally clenched into fists.

My five year old sister, Samantha, had her back pressed against the school fence, whilst two boys, Jamie and Will, towered over her, pulling on her blonde braids and shoving her around. Her bottom lip trembled vulnerably as she was being teased and humiliated in front of half the school.
Her glossy eyes met mine, and she silently begged me to help her.
Usually, it would've been Alex's job.
But today, I knew it had to be mine.
