Nicknames

Castiel, as usual, was staring at Dean. 

Dean, in return, was staring at Cas.

Then, as it always happens, the interrupting moose walked in. He grunted at the sight of the staring pair, and poured himself a cup of coffee.

"If you guys wanna bang, I'll leave," he said bluntly.

"Sam!" Dean yelled, his face going red. The moose shrugged and headed back to his room. His fanfiction readers were getting impatient. 

Dean shook his head and turned back to Cas, who had his head tilted like he always did when he had a question.

"Dean," he began.

"Cas," Dean replied.

"Why don't you have a nickname?"

"What do you mean?"

"Everyone else has a nickname, but you don't have a permanent one."

"Not EVERYONE has a nickname, Cas."

"Sam, Gabe, Luce, Mike, Cas-," He started listing. "Luci, Satan, Sammy, Moose, Cassie,- Where's yours?"

"I have plenty of nicknames, Cas."

"Like what?"

"Like...Jerk, Deano, Squirrel, That hot guy over there, Impala67,"

"Dean, your Tinder username does not count a nickname." Dean paused, his eyes wide.

"How do you about my userna- Hang on, how do you even know what Tinder is?"

"Gabriel showed me."

"I'll kill that angel for destroying your innocence."

"I'm not very innocent, Dean."

"That's ridiculous, you're the most innocent person I know."

"But I'm not a person, I'm an angel."

"You know what I mean." Castiel studied him for a minute.

"...Perhaps I should give you a nickname."

"Go right ahead."

"Okay." Cas's staring suddenly became more intense as he thought.

"Don't strain yourself."

"Got it."

"What?"

"You sometimes call me your angel."

"......No I don't."

"Dean, you have hundred of nicknames for me, and I know all of them."

"No I d-"

"Huggybear, Honeybee, Buddy, Cas, Cassie, angel, my angel, cute little angel-"

"Point taken."

"I'm gonna call you my favorite human."

"Really?"

"Or my hunter."

"Oh no."

"Oh! I've got it!" 

Cas grinned wickedly at Dean.

"I'm afraid." Dean declared.

"You should be, my cutie pie."

"NO."
