I tried to show Colby a few dance moves, to follow Katrina's lead, but it was a lost cause. Things were moving to fast, and we basically just kept falling into each other. Honestly, it was the best time that I had since we had been there. I felt like I was just hanging out with friends, like I could be myself. I didn't see them as famous or idols. I just saw them as people. Amazing people, but just people. "Oof," the breath flew out of my chest as Colby collided with me yet again. "You're supposed to go right, not left," I said laughing. His blue eyes went wide and shrugged his shoulders up. "I. Can't. Remember. It's going too fast!" he exclaimed, a little panic in his voice. I started laughing again, and took a deep breath. We had already been dancing through like seven songs, so I was tired anyways. "Okay, okay, let's take a break," I said placing my hand on his arm. "Oh thank God," he breathed out, taking his other hand and running it through his hair. I noticed he was sweating, leaving his skin glistening under the hotel lights, and his hair curling just a little more. He casually let his arm drop out of my hand, and placed his hand on the small of my back, leading me to the bed. The others were still dancing. I sat down on the edge of one of the beds, and pulled my feet up to get comfortable, before grabbing my phone from the table where I had placed it. Colby leaned across me to grab his as well. I hadn't heard from Sarah, and she and Brennen had been on their own for a while. I had notifications from my social media, a few messages, but nothing from Sarah. I nudged Colby with my shoulder, realizing at the same time that I wasn't nervous anymore. Not really. I smiled, proud of myself. "Have you heard from Brennen? Is Sarah still with him?" I needed to know she was safe, at least. He looked at me, then held his phone out so that I could see the text from Brennen. "Be over soon. Just finished up," I read aloud. "What the hell-ooh," I realized what he meant by the look on Colby's face. "Nooo, really? I mean, I know Sarah's got it bad for him but damn." I was surprised. Sarah might like to flirt and show her body off but she wasn't usually one to jump into bed with someone that quick. This was Brennen though. Colby pressed his lips together and shrugged. "It seems to happen like that sometimes." I bit the inside of my lip, watching his face. I wondered if it happened like that with him. "Anyways, they'll be over soon," he said, turning away from my gaze. The rest of the group collapsed around us and onto the other bed, exhausted from all the dancing. Jake passed out more drinks, and we drank heavily to quench our tired throats. Kat let the music play, so we ended up listening to a couple more of her songs before Sarah and Brennen showed up. The knock on the door alerted us, but Brennen yelling through the door would have gotten our attention anyways, followed by Sarah's giggles. "Police, open up before I bust the door down!" Colby rolled his eyes, and got up to go open the door. Brennen and Sarah basically fell through it when he swung it open. "Can you guys shut up? You're gonna get us kicked out." Brennen held his fingers towards Colby in the shape of a gun. "You're under arrest Cole Robert Brock, hands up." "That's not even funny," Colby said wryly, looking at Brennen's hands. "Why?" Brennen laughed and put his hands down. "For stealing the hearts of all the fan girls bitch. Except this one. I stole this one." He pulled Sarah towards him by her waist, and nuzzled his face into her neck, making her giggle again. "Are we partying? Did we miss it?" They walked past Colby and Brennen sat down in one of the chairs, pulling Sarah down into his lap. Jake tossed him a can of White Claw, then one for Sarah. Colby came back and sat down next to me, closer than before, his thigh pressed against mine. I felt the nervousness coming back, so I tried to shove it down. "You know there are going to be a million pictures of you two together, right? They're going to hunt you down on social media," Colby said, pointing at Sarah. She giggled and shrugged. "I like being in the spotlight. I can handle myself Colbear, don't you worry." "Yeah, you can," Brennen emphasized, grabbing her thigh, making her squeal. "Oh for fuck's sake," Colby groaned, while the group laughed. For the next couple of hours, we just hung out. We drank, we laughed, we danced again. Not choreographed though, just danced. Kat pulled Kenzie up to dance with her, and it wasn't long before Sam, Jake, Tara, and Denise followed along. I sat there, smiling to myself, watching them. Coming to PlayList had been the best decision I had ever made. Sarah jumped up and grabbed my hand, pulling me with her to dance with the others. I gave in, and just let myself enjoy it, feeling the music enter my soul, letting my body move to the beat, closing my eyes. I could get lost in music easily. It was my escape. I felt his closeness, before he even touched me, so I wasn't surprised when his hands came around my waist, holding onto my hips. He pulled me back against him, and I felt his hips move against mine. The alcohol was giving me liquid courage, because I just moved with him, vowing to remember this night forever. The dance became more seductive, me sliding down his body, then back up, gasping as he spun me around to face him. It was happening again. Everyone and everything around us was disappearing, leaving only us.
