I nodded at Sam and bit my lip, falling in behind him as we all started to leave. "Right...for the views," he answered. I met Terra's gaze and motioned for her to join me. When I took her hand in mine, it was like it was the most natural thing in the world for me to do. It struck me again how odd this was, that this was my life and that I was experiencing this. I never in a million years expected to fall for anyone, much less a fan...especially a fan that lived so far away. It would be my luck that it would happen like this. As many girls that I had been through, trying to find one that wasn't fake, that actually wanted to know me for me and I finally think I've found it...in a fan? I usually tried to distance myself from the fans, be nice, be friendly, but never try to give them any inclination that there may be something between us. Until Terra. I didn't even try to keep my guard up with her. Maybe I should have because now, here we were, in this situation that we couldn't figure out. Our lives were just too different and too far apart. I sighed silently to myself and vowed to enjoy this time with her...since it was probably all we had left. It was going to hurt like a bitch but this was it. When the Savannah trip was over, we would have to be over...and I would have to be the one to do it. My heart clenched, making my chest ache. I wanted to rub my hand over the spot to try and ease the dull ache there, but I had her hand in mine, and the other full of devices for the investigation. I sucked in a breath, feeling it catch in the back of my throat. This was going to hurt so bad, but that was okay. It would be okay. We walked around the hotel, getting footage of the halls and the rooms, the bar/restaurant area, the stairwell that went down to the wine cellar, and even got permission to go down into the cellar. It was pretty creepy down there, musty and damp, with the entire right side full of bottles of wine filling the rack that was there. We didn't get any weird feelings though, and the EMF didn't go off, so we got the footage and went back upstairs. "Okay, sunset is in a couple of hours. Do we want to go grab something to eat first, then head that way?" Sam asked, once we reached our room. "Yeah, that sounds good," Terra replied, letting go of my hand, but smiling at me before she sat down on the bed that would be mine. I sat next to her, and leaned over to grab the little menu that was sitting on the bedside table. "We gonna eat here, or go out?" I asked, looking at Sam and the rest, raising my eyebrows. "Let's go down to the that little restaurant," Terra suggested. When everyone looked at her, her cheeks flamed up just a little. She didn't like being the center of attention, but it was so cute when she blushed. "Okay, sounds good. What we had earlier was pretty good," Corey replied. Everyone agreed so we all headed back downstairs and around the side of the building to the entrance of the bar. I pulled out Terra's chair for her and was rewarded with that beautiful shy smile that she has. I noticed Corey doing the same thing for Denise and raised my eyebrows at him. He just winked and sat down after she did. I still felt like Corey was in love with Devyn and honestly didn't think it was a good idea for him to start having feelings for Denise, simply because I knew how hard it was going to be for me to let go of T. Splitting from Devyn almost destroyed him. That was the only time that I saw that happy spark leave Corey's eyes for a while. I would have to remember to try and talk to him about it later. For now, we all opened our menus and waited for our waitress to come over. A few minutes later, a young girl walked over, snapping gum in her mouth, while she pulled a pad and a pen out of a black half apron, not even bothering to look at us. "What can I get for ya?" she asked, her Southern drawl prominent. "I'll have the grilled-" I started, then watched as her head shot up, eyes wide, her gaze connecting with mine. "OH MY GOD!" she exclaimed, her eyes darting all around the table, taking all of us in. "Sam and Colby! Jake and Corey! Oh my GOD! Why are you here? Why are you in Georgia?!" She ran her hands through her hair nervously, holding the pad and pen in one hand. "You're doing a new video here? You have to be, otherwise you wouldn't be here." She kept rambling on, while I just stared at her, a little in shock at how fast and how much she was talking, her eyes flitting from one of us to the next...until they landed on Denise, then Terra next to me. Great. "So um hi, I'm a big fan, my name is Andrea and I'm your waitress this evening. I'm sorry that I freaked out, I just never expected to see you guys anywhere near here. This is a big shock for me," she giggled out nervously. "It's fine," Sam replied. "We didn't really expect to be here either. This trip was..." his eyes shot to mine for a split second. "planned last minute." Terra let out a small, almost unheard squeak, which she tried to cover by coughing into her napkin. I looked back at the girl, our waitress...Andrea, yeah that was it. She was watching Terra intently, maybe trying to figure out who she was. Her eyes flitted to mine and her face darkened under my gaze. I knew that there would be rumors circulating soon if she was part of the actual fandom. "So, I'll take the grilled chicken plate" I started again, trying to hurry this along so that she could walk away. I was beginning to feel uncomfortable but I didn't want to be rude.
