Your POV:
I got home from a long day at work in the office. It's become very busy recently so I've been staying later recently to get the job done so I wouldn't be over loaded the next morning.

Lachie was home as his car was in the driveway as I pulled up. I got out of my car and collected my things before heading inside. "Babes I'm home!" I said loud enough for him to hear me. A few minutes later Lachie made an appearance. He looked a little sad by his facial expression that he was pulling. "Are you ok Lachie?" I asked. "Yeah I'm good y/n." He smiled softly at me. We gave each other a hug. I made us both dinner which we ate in silence. Once we finished I told Lachie was going to our room to read a book for a bit but wouldn't be long.

I was laying on our shared bed in the bedroom reading my book which I really need to finish at some point. Lachie soon walked in but he looked a little more sadder than last time. "Lachie, are you sure you're ok?" I asked in a gentle tone. He sighed then went silent as he got on the bed with me. Tears formed in his eyes and I noticed them begin to slowly fall down his cheeks. I immediately pulled him into my arms holding him close. "Let it out." I said quietly, running my hand through his hair. My T-shirt soon began a little wet from the tears falling down his cheeks but I don't mind one bit.

Lachie was resting his head on my chest as he broke down. I kept my hand running through his hair which calmed him down a little as well which was soothing him. I let a few minutes pass before I spoke again. "If you ever need to speak to me about anything, I'm always here to listen. If you need to let it out, I'm here as well, or even if you just want me then I'll be here." I told him. Lachie looked up at me with his tear stained eyes. "I love you y/n." He mumbled making me smile slightly at him. "I love you Lachie." I replied. He scooted up a bit so he wasn't laying on my chest anymore but had his head in the crook of my neck.

I could feel his warm breath softly against my skin making shivers go down my body. "Do you want to talk about it?" I asked softly. I looked down at Lachie and noticed he was sleeping peacefully. "Goodnight my love." I whispered kissing his head before drifting off to sleep myself.
