I woke up in the middle of the night and realized that Freen wasn't beside me. Instead, I found myself lying on the couch. Confused, I glanced around and noticed that the glass door was somehow open. Curiosity led me towards it.

To my surprise, I stepped out into a pool area where Freen was lying on a deck chair. She gazed at the stars, tears streaming down her face. I wondered what could be troubling the strong and confident CEO of a company, why she would be crying while stargazing.

Freen noticed my presence and quickly wiped her tears, still in a somewhat tipsy state. I couldn't help but wonder how she managed to move me to the couch earlier.

"Why are you here?" she asked, her voice trembling as she continued to wipe her eyes.

"I should be asking you the same thing. Why are you here, crying all alone?" I inquired.

"Does crying have to be a group activity?" she retorted, rolling her eyes.

I chuckled and joined her on the deck chair. Freen rested her head on my shoulder while keeping her eyes fixed on the pool.

Gently, I rubbed her arms and suggested she get some sleep, but she shook her head.

"Why are you trying to make me sleep? I want to admire the sea," she said with longing. "I really want to go to the beach."

"That's not the sea, it's just a pool," I corrected her.

Once again, Freen shook her head and pointed at a sea sticker on the floor. It was adorable, and I couldn't help but laugh. Freen smiled, showing her gums, and tried to reach for the sticker, but I stopped her. Instead, I made her lie in my arms, and she closed her eyes.

"Thank you, Bella," Freen whispered. "I've been alone for the past few years, not knowing how to make my family proud. They always said that having a child was the only way to make them proud." Freen confided, her eyes still closed.

"Why don't you give them what they want?" I asked.

"I have a problem with my cervix, so I can't have children," she replied. "Besides, I don't want to be intimate with men."

I raised my eyebrows. Was she also bisexual?

"Don't look at me as if you've never seen a beautiful woman who doesn't like men before," she turned my head away playfully and continued talking.

"I thought you liked your boyfriend. You even planned a date with him," I commented.

"Like?" she scoffed, shaking her head. "There's only been one woman I've truly liked in my entire life." Freen smiled, still with her eyes closed, as she turned towards me.

"Who?" I asked, curious.

How could I seduce her if she was so loyal to this person? How could I change her mind? How could I make her mine?

"She left me," she said, her voice cracking with sorrow. "I told her I would come back, but she left me." Freen cried like a baby and hugged me tightly. "She left me with our baby," she added.

I couldn't fully comprehend what Freen was saying. Perhaps the alcohol was clouding her thoughts. Her memories seemed jumbled.

"That's really sad," I uttered, wrapping my arms around her.

Freen remained in the embrace for almost ten minutes. When she finally let go, she opened her eyes and stared at me intently.

"Why do you look so much like her?" she asked once more.

"Really?" I questioned, playing along.

Freen nodded and, without hesitation, leaned in for a kiss. It was a soft peck, like a little kid bidding their mother goodbye.

"Mwa!" she chuckled and hugged me again before drifting off to sleep.
