I wake when I hear the familiar sound of crying coming from the baby monitor.

I carefully move Peetas arm from my waist before climbing out of bed.

Not wanting to wake him.

We take turns to get up to see to the babies even if they need feeding.

There's bottles down stairs that I've always pumped ready, just in case.

I walk into Lily and Tyler's room to find lily crying in her bed.

Luckily she didn't seem to wake her brother who is still sleeping soundly.

I lean down and carefully pick her out of her cot making my way over to the rocking chair we moved from willow and Noahs room.

"Hey it's okay." I whisper rocking her in my arms.

I try to feed her but she doesn't want it.

"You just wanted a cuddle didn't you." I say with a smile.

It may be 2 o clock in the morning but I don't mind.

Babies need care and attention and I know I was once the same age.

She stops crying but still looks at me wide eyes.

Doesn't look like she's going back to sleep anytime soon.

I think back to when I was in the arena with Rue.

Sweet little rue, i wonder what she would look like now.

I take a deep breath holding Lily closer to me before I start singing softly.

Deep in the meadow, under the willow
A bed of grass, a soft green pillow
Lay down your head, and close your sleepy eyes
And when again they open, the sun will rise.

Here it's safe, here it's warm
Here the daisies guard you from every harm
Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true
Here is the place where I love you.

Deep in the meadow, hidden far away
A cloak of leaves, a moonbeam ray
Forget your woes and let your troubles lay
And when again it's morning, they'll wash away.

Here it's safe and here it's warm
And here the daisies guard you from every harm
And here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true
Here is the place where I love you.

I smile down at my daughter who is now sleeping softly.

I place a kiss on her forehead before I hear the bedroom door creek open.

Peeta.

"Hey, is everything okay?" He asks wondering closer into the room.

"Perfect, everything is just fine." I reply with a smile.

"How long were you stood there?" I wonder raising an eyebrow.

"Long enough to hear your beautiful voice." he replies with a smirk.

"Is she off?" He questions, his eyes moving to his daughter.

"Yeah." I answer before standing up.

I kiss her cheek before placing her back into her cot making sure she's warm.

"Come on." peeta smiles taking a hold of my hand.

He leads me back into our bedroom leaving the door open just in case.

"I really wish you stayed in bed." I say snuggling closer to him.

"I missed you." he answers tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear.

"You need sleep though." I tell him honestly.

"As do you, close your eyes and think of something that makes you happy." he says wrapping his arms around me.

"You thought of something yet?" He wonders a couple of seconds later.

"I thought of something straight away, you and our kids, you always make me happy." I say and I can tell he's grinning.

Even with my eyes closed.

Even in the dark.

I just know him so well.

We're like two peas in a pod.

"Now just keep us in your mind, il be here when you wake." peeta answers kissing my cheek.

"I love you katniss." he says taking a deep breath.

"I love you too peeta." I reply just before I dose off into a peaceful sleep.

Filled with happiness and joy.

Our family in the future.
