"Katniss." I hear Peeta calling making me groan.
"Is it that time of the day again?" I ask pulling the covers closer around me.
"Yes also known as morning time, there's only you still sleeping." Peeta laughs as I open my eyes.
"I'm not exactly sleeping though am i." I point out before sitting up.
I smile at Peeta before making my way into the bathroom.
"Il be down in 10." I say before shutting the door behind me.
I take an extra quick shower before getting ready into some clean clothes.
Making my way downstairs I hear the laughter of my husband and Haymitch.
"Morning everyone." I say as cheerful as my morning self will let me.
"She's finally up." Peeta says rolling his eyes.
"I like sleep." I say simply.
"As much as I like food." I continue when Peeta hands me a bacon sandwich.
Peeta smiles at me before he gives some food to Gus.
"So what are we doing today?" I wonder curiously.
"Gardening." Peeta says making me give him a look.
"Gardening?" I ask confused.
"Have you seen the grass? It's like having a forest in our backyard." Peeta says laughing to himself.
"Il stay inside looking after the kids." I grin before the look on Peeta's face makes me groan.
"It will be quicker to do it together." he replies before standing up.
The kids finish their breakfast and with Peetas help I get them ready for the day.
We clean the dishes before making your way outside.
The sun is shining brightly just like yesterday but it's far too warm to be moving around all day.
"Peeta it's too hot." I complain.
"It's better than doing it in the rain." he answers as the kids start to play.
Peeta brings out what he calls a grass cutter and I don't even bother asking where he got it from.
"Il use this and you can start watering the flowers." Peeta smiles and I nod.
I often water the flowers so this isn't bothering me......yet.
I take the watering can and start to water the flowers when I hear laughing conning from across the garden.
Haymitch.
"What do you want?" I ask annoyed.
"Nothing, just enjoying the show." Haymitch smirks making me want to wipe the smug look from his face.
"Shut up before I find another use for this watering can." I shout back before I hear Peetas voice coming from behind me.
"Katniss, play nice." he laughs.
I look back at Haymitch to see he's still trying to stop him self from laughing more.
I pull him a face luckily without Peeta noticing.
"At least my flowers will live and my garden will look decent unlike yours that looks like a jungle." I shout back over to Haymitch who has now been joined with Effie.
"This is how I like mine." Haymitch replies before Effie cuts in.
"Hey leave the girl alone, at least she can be bothered to do some work." she says tapping Haymitchs chest.
"Ha Ha Ha." I say loudly.
Just as I'm about to turn around Gus comes zooming past me making me slip on the wet grass.
Before I know it I'm face flat into some mud completely covered.
It's silent for a moment before I hear the laughter from everyone.
Embarrassed I look up to see Annie, Finn, Johanna and Gale have also gotten the joy of watching me fall.
"GUSSSSSS." I scream before standing up annoyed.
"Katniss, baby? Are you okay?" Peeta questions but I can still hear the laugh in his voice.
"I'm fantastic Peeta." I answer sarcastically.
"I'm sorry but you do look funny." he says as i start to wipe the mud from my face.
"I'm sure I look hilarious." I reply making my way over to him.
Before he knows it I've rubbed my muddy hands all over his face before smirking.
Peeta looks at me shocked before I speak.
"Now we're even." I laugh before making my way inside to change.
But just before I close the door I shout back to everyone.
"You all better keep your eyes open tonight when you sleep. You might just get a surprise, but for a little sneak peak, it won't be nice."
Happy with my mini speech I shut the door behind me.
What a day it's been.
Never am I doing gardening again!
