A couple months later and the summer season of Bondi was beginning. Anyone would be able to tell, whether their job relied upon it or not. Flocks of tourists swamped the beach and the surf. That was why you were glad when you and Chappo were stationed at Tamarama for the day. It was still a pretty busy beach but nothing compared to Bondi.

"Is that a guy stuck out the back?" Chappo asked you as he passed you the binoculars which were previously pressed against his eyes.

To your surprise, he had had no objection to the fact that you and Harrison had gotten tattoos but you were debating whether that was just him preventing you form telling everyone about his own.

"Yea it is, I'll go get him." You  answered and pulled your shirt off before your, still overprotective, brother could argue.

Timeskip:

Luckily, you got to the man just in time, you could tell he was exhausted and extremely relieved to see you.

"Get on the board and lay on your front." You instructed, after giving him a moment to catch his breath on the side of the board.

This was not going to go well.

You only realised once he was laying down in front of you that he was well over six foot- a lot taller than you.

Catching your chosen wave, you were already bracing for the impact of the nosedise which you hoped wouldn't occur. However, your prayers were not answered when you felt the board fly up into the air underneath you and your chin plummet on the hard sand of the shallows. You expected it to hurt the same way as your knee had done but it didn't. That wasn't to say that it didn't hurt but it felt more like a bruise that was pulsating in and out- like you could feel the blood flowing through. It was a weird kind of pain.

You stood up from the water clutching your  out of place jaw to make your way back to the beach.

Despite being on the front of the board, the man you rescued looked completely fine as you watched him stroll back up the sand, not even batting an eyelid at your issue.

"(y/n), come here, sit down and let me have a look." Chappo instructed, to which you complied by gently placing yourself down.

"I think you've dislocated it, I'm going to call an ambulance." He told you, the amount of panic in his voice getting increasingly more intense.

"You need to chill out, I am fine." You signed as you didn't want to damage your jaw even further bt attempting to talk.

"I'm sorry, I know you hate it when I get stressed out but I just worry about you and I do think you need to go to the hospital." He answered as he sat down and put one arm around you whilst he used the other to radio the boys at Central.

"Fine." You responded.

"Even though you're signing, I can hear the resistance in your voice."
