-February, 2003-

After his nightmare back then, he didn't feel like doing anything. Just lying in bed, staring at the ceiling all day. This had been going on for quite a while, he could feel Ennard being worried for him.

However, their relationship began to strain.

Ennard was just giving him space and time to himself, he knew that. The sensation of terror he felt returning made him quite depressed, he didn't want any of this.

He exhaled slowly, he got out of bed and out of the room, heading to the kitchen. His head was dizzy enough to think about all the things, he needed something to refresh his mind. Michael boiled water, while waiting for it to boil he prepared a cup, then put in a few spoonful of coffee grounds and sugar. He poured hot water into a cup then stirred the contents blankly, his mind drifting back to nowhere.

"What are you doing?"

Michael gave a startled gasp and pulled away quickly on reflex, then turned to the source of the sound-Ennard gave him a confused look. He didn't know since when Ennard had been there, the last time he saw Ennard was deactivated.

"I'm just making coffee," Michael replied quietly, almost sounding like a little grunt and went back to stirring his coffee. Ennard's gaze was still on him, he knew that. "What?"

"What?"

"Stop looking at me."

"Oh, sorry."

Michael glanced at him briefly, Ennard had left him alone-probably headed to the living room to recharge, the animatronic never sleep in his room again after he had that nightmare. This estrangement stifled him, he stared bitterly at his reflection in the black, bitter-smelling liquid.

He had mixed feelings, could they really maintain their relationship like this?

He started to doubt it.
