No. My pen name is Shakti whereas legal name is Sindhu. I chose Shakti as it denotes the power of women as per Hindu mythology and usually I write strong female leads.

I didn't plan yet.

What is writing to you?

Writing is a great way to express our thoughts and to bring a change in the thoughts of others. Sometimes a book can change the life of a person too. That's the power of writing.

Is being an author, your long time dream or a hidden passion you found out later?

Longtime dream which I found while reading written updates of my favourite TV show Diya aur bathi on Tellyupdates.

What genre books you like to work on?

Romance, Chiklit, General Fiction.

If we challenge you to write a book of another genre we suggest, then would you take it up?

Definitely I would take up the challenge. It helps me to explore new genre of writing.

Then we would love to read a combination of Mystery in Historic Fantasy.

Writing is a reality that paints a beautiful fantasy. What do you think are the charms of writing fiction/non fictional books?

Both. I have written stories based on real life incidents. That's a combination of fiction and non fiction. Both are special in their own way.

Who is your favorite Villain you couldn’t help but love?

Rana Dhaggubati. His action and his way of living are awesome. He has only one eye and lost other one in an accident but he never regret it. I love his courage and mentality.

What are your hobbies other than writing and reading?

Talking to my close friends, counseling depressed people, writing quotes, making videos etc.

What are your hidden talents?

Writing quotes, blogging and making videos.

Who is your first celebrity crush?

No one.

What is the most embarrassing situation that you have ever been through?

I don't remember.

One craziest thing you have ever done?

My friends usually say I do everything crazily.

There are many authors who just started their journey and many readers who want to write but has no courage to do so. Please give them a tip and a word of encouragement.

Write what your heart says. Don't let comments effect you. Imagine the scenes and put yourself in the characters and feel their emotions while writing.

Last but not the least, have you ever dreamt of writing your own comic?

No but now I feel it's a great idea.
