Pen Name: Scarlett Daisy.

Username: ScarlettBlackDaisy

Is your pen name your legal name? If no, then how did you make up one?

My real name is Daisy and Scarlett is my nickname so I guess they just fit together this way.

How many books have you published till date?

Outside Wattpad, I've lost count of how many stories I've written. On Wattpad, I have completed one series of three books, five standalones, two I've unpublished, and am in the process of writing five new ones.

What are your future projects?

As I mentioned, aside from the one story I'm writing at the moment, I have four planned for 2020. Fingers crossed that I get through them.

What is writing to you?

Writing to me is breathing. It's living, it's dreaming, it's exploring myself and others.

Is being an author, your long time dream or a hidden passion you found out later?

Being an author has been my passion for a very long time. I wrote my first short story more than ten years ago and loved the process of writing. I wrote my first full-length novel four years ago and published some poetry. It wasn't until I joined Wattpad last year that I realized how much I love writing.

What genre books you like to work on?

I write Young Adult/New Adult with a focus on mental health and social issues. There's always a side of romance to my stories and I love instilling hope so happy endings are a must.

If we challenge you to write a book of another genre we suggest, then would you take it up?

Yes, certainly. I absolutely love every genre. I've written in mystery/thriller, science-fiction, and am an avid reader of historical fiction. My new WIP is also paranormal themed.

Then we would love to read a Medieval age fantasy book from you soon.

Writing is a reality that paints a beautiful fantasy. What do you think are the charms of writing fiction/non fictional books?

I personally love reading anything, whether it be fiction or non-fiction. I think the best part of writing is getting your thoughts out there for other people to see. I love it when someone comments on my story and says 'hey, I thought I was the only one' and that just makes it worth it. Even better is when someone tells me my story could help them through a tough spot.

Who are your favorite authors in and out of wattpad?

OUt of Wattpad I really like Khaled Hossieni, Ruth Rendell, Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde, etc. I'm a classics fan so I like old-school novels. On Wattpad, I read mostly unrated works. However, some famous author I truly like are ReeReverie ToastedBagles ClaudiaOverHere etc.

Name few of your close wattpad friends.

My closest Wattpad friends are Bibliophile005 val_am_ TessaYoung5  Shivani_SwaSan and others.

What is your favorite series you have recently watched or read?

I don't watch series due to my limited time. I haven't read one in a while either.

Who is your favorite actor/actress?

Since I don't watch TV much, I can't be sure about who I really like. I have always love Leonardo DiCaprio though.

Who is your favorite Villain you couldn't help but love?

Heath Ledger's Joker is my absolute favorite villain. I love him and Harley Quinn so much.

What are your hobbies other than writing and reading?

Life doesn't allow me much time for hobbies. But I love music if that counts.

What are your hidden talents?

I sketch and paint. I can sing okay and can dance well. I guess that's pretty much it. Oh, and I can forget your name right after you tell it to me. Yes, it's a talent I'm not proud of.

Who is your first celebrity crush?

My first celebrity crush (which has only just started) is Alec Benjamin. Oh, and I loved Eminem as a teen, but that's more for his music than him. (Yes, maybe I'm lying a bit)

What is the most embarrassing situation that you have ever been through?

I don't go through embarrassing situations. My mom and dad have raised me too prim and proper for my own good.

One craziest thing you have ever done?

I fell in love. Yes, it was crazy. Don't ask.

There are many authors who just started their journey and many readers who want to write but has no courage to do so. Please give them a tip and a word of encouragement.

If I have to give advice, I think the best tip I can give anyone is to keep writing. I know it seems cliche but honestly, giving up is really easy. Write, write what you love, take feedback and write, read and write, edit and write, write write and write.

Last but not the least, have you ever dreamt of writing your own comic?

Comics, never. I'm a eight-hundred-page novel kinda girl.
