Pen Name: Laura E Brown

Username: LauraEBrown

Is your pen name your legal name? If no, then how did you make up one?

No, it was actually the name of one of characters. I think I found myself loving the story and the character and her love story that I kind of wish it was mine. So I thought better as well steal her name.

How many books have you published till date?

I have published 4 books on Wattpad. Three of them are completed.

What are your future projects? What is writing to you?

I have a lot of plots that I am very excited to write. Unfortunately time doesn't allow me to write fast or multiple at a time.

Is being an author, your long time dream or a hidden passion you found out later?

Writing to me is like a way of expressing myself that perhaps no one else would understand me. I am a day dreamer and writing helps me to deal with overwhelming myself with ideas and plots. I would say being an author is both a long time dream and a passion I noticed when I read Jane Eyre.

What genre books you like to work on?

I have an exciting plot jotted down. It'll be historical fiction, so it's a new genre I'm going to try.

If we challenge you to write a book of another genre we suggest, then would you take it up?

Yes? As long as it's not going to be non-fiction. Because I'm terrible when it comes to real events.

Then we would love to read an extremely humorous book from you soon.

Writing is a reality that paints a beautiful fantasy. What do you think are the charms of writing fiction/non fictional books?

I think besides the relevant amount of description, details, and dialogue, what truly matters is the personality of the characters. It's often found that the main character, specially the woman, needs to be flawless. I often find people commenting on how my main character is weak, stupid, or proud, materialistic, etc. Well, that is what makes her her. No one is perfect. Then why try to paint it unreal.

Who are your favorite authors in and out of wattpad?

What is your favorite series you have recently watched or read?

Harlots (TV) (don't judge, it's actually a pretty funny and exciting show) And Outlanders (TV) (A MUST WATCH)

Who is your favorite actor/actress?

Tom Hiddleston and Sam Heughan. I have a thing for British accent. Specially highlanders;)

Who is your favorite Villain you couldn't help but love?

Loki (Duh) and Black Jack (Jack Randal) (sorry Outlander fans, but he's handsome when he threats.)

What are your hobbies other than writing and reading?

watching movies (lol), couponing, and gardening.

What are your hidden talents?

None. I am talentless, let alone a hidden one.

Who is your first celebrity crush?

Robert Pattinson. I know, I know, I was a twilight fan back when I was young and stupid.

What is the most embarrassing situation that you have ever been through?

Um, does every single day count? But I guess the most embarassing one would be when I was in high school, the teacher was playing the latest news which was about a recent shooting. Unfortunately I was on my phone, as the class hadn't begun yet. I laughed looking at my phone, without even knowing what was happening around me. And so everyone looked at me and the class got silent. I looked up and saw what was going on and had to awkwardly explain I wasn't paying attention. For a good few days people were looking at me as if I've lost my mind. Lesson learned, don't use phone, and don't laugh.

One craziest thing you have ever done?

when I was in Eleventh Grade, my classmates and I ran out of school because we thought if no one is in the class, the class would be dismissed and we wouldn't have to take the exam. Well, it backfired and we had to go back on a Saturday to take the exam.

There are many authors who just started their journey and many readers who want to write but has no courage to do so. Please give them a tip and a word of encouragement.

Write what your mind wills you not what others say or want. Remember there is no law that says you have to have certain English or language knowledge to write. I was scared of others reaction. Of people who are around me. But once I started writing, no matter how crappy, you'll soon forget about those.

Last but not the least, have you ever dreamt of writing your own comic?

Not really... But I will support anyone who would want to turn my books into Comics.
