The endless stream of nagging unfolded like an unbroken spell.
Jay, the boy, didn't seem to hear the familiar nagging at all as he interjected.
"I've brought Lord Raymond."

Sage Mevinson's elderly face stiffened, then went white, and he had a dramatic reaction.
He leaped to his feet and bent over at an almost 120-degree angle.
"No, my lord, here of all places? H-have I done something wrong? If I have, I apologize!"

Raymond made an incredulous face.
He's worried that he did something wrong!
'How timid...'
Suddenly, Raymond remembered a rumor he'd heard before. Mevinson wasn't just an incompetent sage,

Timidity had gotten the better of Raymond!
Raymond was worried.
