I walked into my house and sat on the couch to enjoy the few moments of silence I had before everyone got inside and I couldn't help but think back to the moment my life change forever, it started with me getting out the hospital with a broken leg and coming home to a bunch of junk mail and get well cards. But there was one thing that stood out an invitation to my ten year high school reunion, I seriously contemplated not going but the memory of one person changed all of that in an instant. I didn't know what it was about that dude that made me get on a plane (something I hated) and fly back to a place I swore never to return to unless absolutely necessary. But Marcus Riley always had a way of making me do things I wasn't used to doing from the moment he stood up in class wearing a black turtle neck and tan corduroys  proudly declared he was going to be a backup dancer for Michael Jackson I was gone...... there was no going back for me because in that moment I fell in love. I often tried to imagine what my life would've been like if I hadn't gone back home and found it impossible because going back brought a lot of people back in my life; Enzo, Tonya, Devin and of course Marcus. Though the road getting to this point hadn't been easy; crazy exes, even crazier family members, a lot of fights and a few missed calls with death I wouldn't trade any of it if it meant this was the ending I was getting..... the door opened and my silence was shattered by the sound of my sons arguing over who was getting Noah's room once he left and Marcus who looked at me to intervene.

"Neither one of y'all is getting Noah's room, where's he going to sleep when he comes home?" I asked looking at Cori and Marquise.

"On the couch......" Marquise said walking into the kitchen while Cori asked Noah for every little thing; his video games, his jewelry, his posters, his jerseys. I could see Noah was trying his hardest not to snap because I knew he was trying to get back to Jade and his friends as soon as possible and if Cori had his way Noah would never leave the house. The door opened again and too many people to count walked in but the loudest was Carly who was trying tell Saint about college life even though she had only been there for a couple months since enrolling early.

"Why don't you go fine Danny and say bye to him before he ships off to basic training." Saint said eyeing Mario and I knew I had to watch them to since they seem to think my grotto was for public use.

"Why don't you take that ugly ass yellow suit off? Looking like Big Bird......" Carly said and I decided to get up and go out back hoping for a little more peace but my other three of my six siblings were out there with there spouses arguing about something.

"Explain to me why your son is damn near grown and still sucking his thumb?" Domo asked Cadence and I couldn't help but smile, even though I had known him for the shortest amount of time over the years we became extremely close and I was proud of the man and father he had become, I was just wondering when him and Vanessa would stop telling people they weren't in a relationship because it was clear to everyone with eyes they were about two seconds away from getting married.

"Because he can do what he wants, nobody ask why your son is always trying suck on Vanessa's tits." Cadence said and I just laughed quietly because Cadence was extremely ruthless with her words but there were four people who got to see a different side of her, Alex, AJ, Cam and myself. Me and Cadence talked about everything and she was the only one of my siblings I could actually talk sports with so she was over every weekend to watch football during the season.

"That's because he likes titties." Sa'vion said laughing, then quickly dodging a smack from his wife Kierra. We had a rocky history but I couldn't imagine Sa'vion not being here either, it was like he had been there since the beginning and our relationship was still trying at times mostly because I was so protective of Devin that I usually took his side on most things, but I loved them all the same. After finally getting bored with their argument I walked into the kitchen where Tonya, Mama Angela and Liberty were cooking and listening to music.
