Dorothy was sleepy. However, she heard someone knocking on the door again.

She turned over impatiently and thought that it was Juelz coming to find her after taking a bath. She muttered, "Juelz, I'm really tired and I want to sleep. What the hell are you doing now?"

As she was about to close her eyes and continue to sleep, she heard Juelz shouting loudly in the bathroom, "Dorothy, get up and open the door. It should be the delivery of the spicy crayfish I ordered."

Upon hearing the word "crayfish", Dorothy immediately opened her eyes in high spirits. Her sleepiness had totally disappeared.

After coming to Palm City, the most unforgettable thing for her was the spicy crayfish that could be found everywhere in Palm City. It was so delicious she wouldn't get bored of it even if she had it for every meal.

Dorothy bounced out of the bed, rubbed her bleary eyes, and then walked to the door in her blue slippers. She opened the door and covered her mouth with her hand while she yawned. She asked, "How much is the crayfish?"

However, she waited for a long time, and there was no response from the delivery guy. She was angry and looked up, "Why aren't you responding to me..."

After that, she could feel a choking sensation in her throat and her voice stopped abruptly. Her vision was blurred and she was standing straight as if she had been frozen to the spot.

She turned a blind eye to everything else in her sight. There was only a familiar male body. His strong and cold scent attacked her nostrils.

His black shirt, a pair of black pants, and his handsome face dazzled Dorothy a lot. For a moment, her heart skipped a beat and she forgot how to breathe. The expression on her little face showed a sign of relief and hidden joy. "You... why are you here?"

Credence raised his pair of cold eyes that seemed to be filled with anger. However, he still spoke calmly and asked her, "Why did you leave without telling me?"

His attitude was as cold as ever.

Dorothy mocked herself from the bottom of her heart. She thought that he was coming to Palm City to take her home. However, it turned out that he just wanted to interrogate her.

"Credence, I didn't leave without telling you."

Dorothy blinked her teary eyes. Her long hair blocked most of her expression. After a while, she said softly, "It was because you don't love me! I had sent you a message before I left. I thought that you would ask me to stay, but I didn't expect... I waited for your reply for so long. That's why I thought you agreed to let me go."

"Very good. Then, tell me, if you want to leave me, why did you fool around with Juelz?"

Dorothy didn't answer him. Instead, she remained silent.

Credence had never believed her words. No matter what she said, it would all be in vain. It would only waste her energy. Hence, it would be better for her to remain silent.

Credence couldn't help but sneer coldly. He got up and grabbed her chin, forcing her to raise her head and look at him. "What's wrong? Cat got your tongue? Dorothy, I thought you were very innocent, but I didn't expect you to be so thirsty. Was it because I couldn't satisfy you? Do you want to try it now?"

His words became more sarcastic. Dorothy did not refute him. She just closed her eyes, and her tears streamed down her face uncontrollably.

"Credence, let's get a divorce."

He sneered and clutched her chin harder. "I should be the one saying this. You don't have the right to say it."

"Ain't it the same either way?"

"You must remember, as a human, you have to pay the price for what you did!"

The door was slammed shut and the room seemed to shake. In an instant, the living room fell into silence.

Seeing Credence closing the door and approaching her step by step, Dorothy couldn't help but panic when facing him. Retreating in her slippers, she said, "Credence, I didn't do anything, nor did I betray you. Since you don't love me, then let's break up in peace. Isn't that good?"

The man stared at her with bloodshot eyes and didn't say a word. In the end, he smiled, making Dorothy tremble and unable to stand steadily.

The sudden opening of the door broke the silence.

Dorothy was stunned as she looked at the bathroom. She suddenly remembered that Juelz was still taking a shower. Her face turned pale slowly. Credence looked at her and his lips curved into a terrifying smile.

Feeling the man's cold and heartless aura, Dorothy screamed hurriedly and rushed to the bathroom. "Juelz, don't open the door. Credence Scott is here. You'd better hide inside."

Subconsciously, she was afraid that Juelz would run out rashly at that moment. He would definitely be beaten to death by Credence without mercy!

Juelz had been involved several times in the matter between her and Credence. She could no longer drag him in anymore.

However, it was too late for Dorothy to stop him. Juelz wore a T-shirt and loose beach trousers and came out with his wet hair. He dried his face with a towel while stretching out his hand to rub Dorothy's hair. "Are you having a nightmare? Credence Scott, that b*stard would never find us! Come on, don't think too much. Let's eat crayfish tonight to get rid of our bad luck. You're getting thinner. It makes my heart ache for you!"

"Shut up!"

Juelz didn't even notice Credence. Dorothy almost knelt down to him. She stretched out her arms in a panic and grabbed Juelz's arm, trying to push him back into the bathroom. "Don't cause more trouble now. Get in there. Get back in there now."

After taking a few steps, Dorothy saw Juelz's two long legs suddenly stop, and his handsome face showed disbelief, "It's you? Credence Scott! You've really found us?"

The next second, Juelz seemed to remember something. He dragged Dorothy behind him and sneered at Credence, "You want to take her back by force? Ha, you can do it over my dead body!"

It all happened too fast. Dorothy was dragged behind by Juelz. His tall back blocked her sight, so she couldn't see anything clearly. A strong breeze suddenly blew across her face. After that, she saw the man's strong and cold figure.

The next second, Dorothy watched as Juelz's slender body swayed, and then she heard pained groans coming from him.

"Credence, f*ck you!"

After that, Juelz fell onto the clean marble floor in agony.

"Juelz! Are you all right?"

Due to the sudden turn of events, Dorothy was completely stunned. She lowered her head and looked at Juelz anxiously. Then, she quickly raised her head and gazed at the man who seemed to have just come out of hell. Her face was extremely pale..
