Shawn: "So, ehmm..."
Me: "Shawn, please, tell me. Did I do something wrong? Is it my fault?"
Shawn: "No, no, no! It's not you!"
Me: "Then tell me!"
There was a little pause, until Shawn finally answered.
Shawn: "I think we should end this." He blurted out, making me gasp.
Me: "Whaat??! Why!?? Are you breaking up with me?! Shawn, please, don't."
I heard Shawn sniff, like he was starting to cry. Tears were already going down my face.
Me: "Shawn!"
Shawn: "I'm sorry. I don't want to hurt you. But I think it should be better for us to be separated. I'm sorry Claire." He said, between sniffs.
Me: "Shawn... I can't let you go. Please. Tell me this is just a joke."
It was hard for me to speak. I was sobbing and I had a runny nose. I could hear Shawn also crying trough the phone.
Shawn: "I'm sorry, Claire. I love you"
Me: "Then why would you leave me?!!" I screamed.
Too late. Shawn had already end the phone call. I dropped my phone, placing my hands in my face.
Why? Why did he leave me? Did I do anything wrong? Is this all my fault? Why was he also crying? I don't understand. I don't understand this.
